Seeking Wealth Manager or Financial Planner and Tax Advisor

I am looking for a trustworthy person/company who can help us with financial planning..including wealth management and tax advice. I've been doing our own tax returns for several years but our income situation has changed significantly and I'm starting to feel like I'm out of my league in dealing with it.

I'm sure I've missed tax breaks I could have taken etc. Plus, we are really starting to need professional advice and guidance on financial planning issues.

I'm looking for more than someone who does taxes out of their garage or on the side. I also want a professional with more than a couple of years experience. Trustworthiness, humbleness and honest opinions are things we need in an advisor.

What can I do next?

I would like to refer you to a wonderful financial planner my husband and I use. We live in Denton but travel to Dallas twice a year to review our accounts. His name is Jason Palmer with American Express Financial Advisors-he is very trustworthy, patient and explains everything he does. His email is ____@____.com Let him know that Chris & L. Fisher referred you and I'm sure he'll take good care of you. Good luck.

Hi, D.. I tried to respond with a referral but the system wouldn't recognize Lewisville as an acceptable city in Texas.

Anyway...I recommend Ken Orbin of Orbin & Cooper Wealth Management, Inc. Their address is 417 Oakbend Drive, Suite 302, Lewisville, TX 75067. Their phone number is ###-###-####. We live in East Dallas they he came all the way out to our home. I inherited a beneficiary IRA from my father's estate

Hi there. I have a referral for you but I only have the email address with me. Ms. Jeanne Dunlap is a good accountant. I was referred to her for help this next year since my taxes have become more complicated recently as well. She does work out of her home, but it's a full time out of her home situation. If interested, contact her at ____@____.com, I believe she used to work at a firm downtown, she may still work there on a consulting basis.

I use a wonderful Man by the name of Greg Lively. He works out of his home in Plano. (right past the toll road on Park). (this was a huge plus for me, cause I know he does not have all the extra overhead). Heres his number ###-###-####... Please let him know Kristie sent ya :-)

Let me know if this helps. But he has done wonders for me and my husband in the past, and still does.

D., I know what you mean.
I work for Merrill Lynch. I am not a financial advisor but work with all of them and could refer you to someone that could take good care of you. If you would like me to, I am more than happy. I can either give them your name or you can let me know and I will forward someone's name and number along. Good Luck!
