Hi.. I was wondering if anyone has ever used Seventh Generation Diapers? If so, what do you think of them? I'm thinking of switching from Huggies to 7Gen. I just started using the cleaning prod. & baby wipes and I love them both!

What can I do next?

I've never used them, but someone I know swears by them. I think she gets them online.

My sister absolutely loves them and recommended them to me should I decide to use disposable rather than cloth.

Morning M.,

I don't know about the 7th generation diapers but just yesterday I was told about gdiapers. they are earth friendly and biodegradable it takes them 90 days to break down in the landfills vs. 500yrs for reg. disposables (I was soooo shock, didn't know it was that bad)you can flush them or put the wet ones in your compost and it puts nutrients etc back into the earth. I have 10 month old twins so I am def. starting to use these... they seem very reasonably price for what they are! The website is www.gdiapers.com.. Hope this helps some, I was so impressed I wanted to share.
Have a great day!

I love Seventh Generation diapers! One thing I've found though is that even though my son is in the wieght range for size 3, size 4 fits him better. I guess maybe they run a bit small. Anyway, once you find the size you like, you can get them with free shipping on Amazon.com, and if you sign up for a subscription, you can get 15% off. I do the same with the Seventh Gen baby wipes, which are really great too. Hope that helps!

i use them in addition to cloth and they're great. if you go to their website you can download coupons. i had an issue with coagulated gel in the rear of them(mostly size 3) but i called the company twice and both times they sent me coupons for free diapers. babies r us sells them too and occasionally sends out a coupon.

Hi there,

I have used G Diapers and they clogged up my toilet :-( But we have a flat house on a flat piece of land and it's a looong way to the sewer and our toilets don't flush very strongly since they have the low-water flushers. So watch your toilet very carefully if you try the G's. Or just compost them, or toss the inserts and at least you can feel better that they'll decompose faster than the others!

I don't know how long it takes for 7th Gens to decompose. My friend used them and swore they were great. Her main concern was that she didn't want the chemicals from Pampers, et al (the gel stuff, fragrance, etc) to touch her baby's skin and felt that the 7th Gen were a safer alternative. More expensive, but worth it. And maybe not more expensive if you alternate with cloth? Good luck!

I love G Diapers..... I know there have been a couple of recommendations for them and they are truly wonderful and I feel as if I am doing something better for our environment. I have also used 7th Generation and I like them also but they do run small.

I love the 7th generation diapers. They work great for overnight and traveling when I don't generally use cloth. I get mine online at Amazon.com in a case of 4 packs with free shipping. It saves a few dollars and I don't have to trek out to Babies R Us to buy them....
