I got a pair in August and LOVE them!!! I was painting my daughter's room later in August and put on my old tennis shoes to not get paint on my new shoes, and felt like I was walking on my tip-toes! I'm getting a pair of sandals in the spring and can't wait. They aren't the prettiest shoe but they are sooo worth it! I was watching HSN tonight where they were selling the Earthshoe. Supposed to be the same kind of negative heel thing with them and they had some peep-toe flats. I'm interested in those too but would like to try them on instead of just ordering them. Good Luck!!

I have been wearing these shoes for a couple of months or maybe longer. I got them because they sounded like the perfect shoe for me to get started walking in. I love these shoes. I had pain in my feet when I wore other shoes and couldn't walk as long and with these I have no trouble. I noticed one response said her butt hurt after wearing them but that is just because her muscles back there are being worked out. These shoes are supposed to simulate walking in sand. My back and legs feel much better also. These shoes do not do the work for you. You still have to do the walking. I have lost over 10 lbs. since I started wearing them but it's because I enjoy walking alot more with them than any other shoe. Hope this helps you and it's worth the investment! Good luck!

I've got the Avon/Curves version, basically the same shoe. Haven't noticed any real difference in muscle tone/fitness unless you're walking up a hill, but they are very comfortable. I just had ACL reconstruction done and started wearing the shoes about two weeks post-op and I think they did a lot to help speed my rehab because they forced me to walk correctly (heel-strike). I pretty much wear them all the time, my regular tennis shoes aren't nearly as comfortable after wearing these.

No specific experience on these shoes...however...my orthopedic Dr. says they are very questionable.

I just walk in my good walking shoes and don't rely on a shoe to do the work for me.

I heard great things about them on Twitter when I asked for feedback, but was still skeptical, so I used my MyPoints.com gift card to Kohl's and got them for pretty cheap (around $25 after the gift card and Kohl's discount).

I have worn them several times and while they are comfortable, I don't feel much difference from my regular walking shoes. I would have been very disappointed had I paid $100+ for them.

I've had mine since October and wear them everywhere I go. My back hurt when I would get in bed the first few nights, but that problem is gone. I feel better and my feet don't hurt when I have to walk more than usual. I really like mine and would get them again, they are very comfortable shoes.

I just bought a pair over the holidays. So far I love them. Sketchers are great shoes anyway, but these are extremely comfortable. My feet do not hurt at the end of the day. The first day I wore them I could feel them working on the back of my legs. I've also noticed less back pain at the end of the day. I'm not a skinny mini either and have my fair share and then some on the top half.

I have really bad back problems and bought a pair of those and MBTs (original designed ones). I like the MBTs a little better (but they are much more $) but they are both good for their purpose. I do feel like my back hurts less when I wear them because they do make you stand different (in a good way!) and do work out different muscles. I don't notice the difference so much until I'm on the elliptical with them, that is when I can really notice the different muscles they use. I would buy them again, I do hate the looks of them though, but they have a good trade off imo!

Just bought some today for $89 with a $10 coupon at DSW. So far they are comfortable and my back is always hurting so it seems to help. I get heel pain and it seems like it cushions my feet. I haven't tried them outside yet. I will let you know tomorrow. So far very comfy...

L.,
I just bought a pair of skechers shape-ups a week ago and have noticed a tremendous difference. I like them very much and my feet and back don't hurt anymore. What does hurt a bit is my butt!! I tried on the MBT's first...my opinion...they are pretty comparable. However, I went to the MBT's website and they do have pairs on sale at a very competitive price. I plan on purchasing a pair of sandals for the summer. I will say I did play competitive volleyball in these skechers yesterday...I felt clumsy, but my back and feet did not hurt. I think they are worth the purchase. You are going to pay somewhat of the same amount for a good pair of running shoes. Take the leap!

I purchased these mid- December while shopping at the mall for Christmas gifts. I've been considering either the MBT's vs the Shape Ups over the last several months. I am not a walker, I hate to exercise but I've heard so many good things about them. My feet hurt in my current Reebok's and I always get shin splints and back pain when I am either standing for too long or just walking around. I went into Foot Locker, tried on the Shape Up's and decided to buy them. I spent $99 and it was the best 100 bucks I've spent on myself. I was able to complete shopping and still had the desire to do even more. My hubby gave up and we had to go home. He decided by the end of the week to go get him a pair and he loves them as much as I do. I can definitely feel a workout when we go walking, and I wear these shoes while I am cleaning house or cooking and my feet do not hurt. I love them !!! I highly recommend them. I am not one to spend money on shoes or purses, but this was a great purchase! I say go for it! Good luck!
