Sketchers Fitness Shoes

Has anyone out there used the Sketchers fitness shoes or a brand like it? You know the ones I'm talking about, the ones that are supposed to lift your rear, slim your legs, and tone. What did/do you think? Were they worth the money? My mom and I are thinking of getting some, but aren't sure if we should invest our money in something that may not even be worth it?

What can I do next?

My friend bought them and within in 3 months they were falling apart. She went to Famous Footwear (thats where she bought them) and they told her they wouldn't do anything that she had to contact Skechers....well Skechers did nothing and blamed her and told her it was wear and tear. So she let them know that they will no longer have her business and they still did nothing. She said its weird at first to wear them but after that it doesn't do anything special and she didn't feel anything different in her tone, legs, or butt.

YES!!! You're talking about the Shape Ups right? I LOVE mine. I haven't worn tennis shoes in years, literally! These things are great because they do work and stretch the muscles but their best benefit is improved posture. My feet don't hurt if I'm standing all day because they naturally correct your posture which means your back, knees, and feet don't hurt. So worth the money!

I posted the same question way back and noone responded. So, I spent the moolaaa and got myself a pair. They are comfortable (I am a sketchers fan anyway). But, I haven't noticed any additional toning.

My best friend has them and she LOVEs them. She says that they do work moderately in helping with all of the slimming toning etc thought they are not miracle workers there. Whats she was really surprised by is how great she feels, she says that the improvement in her posture has taken away back and knee pain she didn't even realize that she has. I am going to buy myself some very soon.

I have the Reebok Easy Fit and while I do not feel much of a difference with any muscle toning or anything I do notice a difference in posture which has helped me with some back pain.

I have the Reebok ones....they look just like a tennis shoe....not lifts. I really like them, I do Latin Fusion in them and can really tell a difference on how I feel afterwards. Good Luck! I know it's hard to figure out. Oh I got mine at Dick's Sporting by the way....

I have not tried them yet, but I found that fitflops (flip flops) do the same thing for half the price. I got this flip flops (fitflops) and my whole legs get toned. I can't wear gym shoes cuz I have bad feet and these were the same concepts working out your legs. I love them and were only $60. Another option for you.

I asked my trainer the same thing - I work out regularly, and considered this as just a little something 'extra' - point blank he told me they are not worth it. It's all in diet and physical activity.

I love Sketchers in general, always have. I have yet to try the Shape Ups, but would think every little bit would help.Of course it's not going to do what diet and exercise would. I am on my feet for 12 hours when I work and have found Sketchers to be comfortable and worth the money.
