Also, how often, and which, um, parts? Any other thoughts or opinions on the subject of exfoliation?

Thanks Ladies, have a great day!

I am prone to adult acne, so, I have a facial scrub with salycilic acid. It's super cheap in generic form. I wash my face with it twice a day. I have another tube in the shower. I scrub all over with it once a week or so. I also scrub with a washrag. It sounds ridiculous, but since we all moved to pouffs, we've given up the abrasive, exfoliating qualities of a good old fashioned wash cloth.

I use a puff in the shower with regular body wash.

I'm not regularly exfoliating my face right now.
When I do, I use St Ives Apricot Cleanser on it.

Face, body, legs and arms LOL. I use Sea Salt Scrub from Arbonne. I use something just for the face and then the Sea Salt Scrub every place else. You can order directly from my site and have it shipped to you.

For my body I use a mixture of course sea salts with jojoba or almond oil. For my face I don't exfoliate any longer but use a bentonite clay mask to detox the face. Actually works better than exfoliating for my skin.

I use a 10% glycolic acid solution on my face every day and it has made the biggest difference in my skin. The product is from C. Booth and it is wonderful. I like it much better than a coarse, physical exfoliator. I also use Retin A.

For my body I use either a sugar scrub or a loofah washcloth. If you really want to do it right I have heard several derms recommend a dry brush which you use BEFORE you go in the shower-you just brush your skin. Supposed to work wonders.

I exfoliate my face every day using Peter Thomas Roth's Botanical Buffing Beads. It is a bright blue color and you can buy it at Sephora. I have been using it for 12 years now and it's wonderful. Good even for sensitive skin.

For my body, I just use Kosher salt and olive oil mixed together. Works great and it's cheap! ;) I do that once a week if I can find the time.

What I use it depends on my budget.
If I am running very low I just mix olive oil and salt.
If I want something more elaborated:
Sugar, honey, oatmeal, lime, yogurt
If I can afford I get one of those Bath Body works.

My mother still uses the old method. She goes to a vapor room, uses a special rock and rubs all the dead skin, the uses a home made body mask.
She is 50 and has the most soft skin ever!
Edit: Oh Tracy K. brough me good memories, when I was little my mom would use on me a washrag too instead of the rock, I was moved to the rock when I was 7, lol.

I use to exfoliate at least 3 times a week, now that I barely have time to finish one shower so I just use the exfoliating gloves from CVS, lol.

What parts?, "every where", but for the face I use special ones.

Tree Hut Almond Exfoliating Scrub. The scent is amazing. I exfoliate my butt/thigh area, tummy, chest near neckline, and arms about once per week. I can really tell a difference in my chest area when I do - it glows!

Hello!

For my face, I use the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion set. You can use it every two days, or just once a week. It can also be used on the back of your hands, chest, shoulders, knees and elbows)

Some results records after only 1 week of use:

• 85% saw improved skin texture
• 73% reduction in fine lines
• 71% smaller looking pores

For my body, I like to use a loofa or a "poof", although a good Sugar Scrub works just as well!

I will be happy to send you a free sample of Mary Kay Microdermabrasion!

For my body I use a poof. For my face it depends which product i have at the time, but some of my favorites are Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion which literally makes my skin glow! I also use Origins Modern Friction which is a Microderm. I use them 1-2 a week.

I exfoliate everything about once a week...just not underarms or breasts. Great idea if you want super smooth skin and also helps with effective hair removal (waxing or shaving) if that's an issue.

You can use a loofah or scrubby sponge, or try one of many store bought products. Best brand I've used by far is MamaMio - they have a line of mostly maternity products (that can be used anytime) - I highly recommend all of them. Never tried anything (even high-end products) that worked better. Theirs is called Body Buff. My skin is silky within one use. No mess, light fragrance that doesn't overwhelm and it isn't hurtful like many harsher scrubs can be. Prices are not cheap but not ridiculous. can be found on Amazon on at a Pea in the Pod.

Another good product but more expensive is the Sugar scrub made by Fresh. It's messier and is more rough on the skin - although still achieves great results.
