Hello ladies,
I need some suggestions on a great Christian Church in the Melbourne area. Here is my delema, I am a born again Christian, my husband is Catholic (I used to be and converted) he wants to convert but still wants the rituals that he is used to with the Catholic Church, I on the other hand do not like the rituals of the Catholic Church. I used to go to the Calvery Chapel in Ft Lauderdale, when we lived there, and LOVED their pastor! It was the only church that my husband didn't mind attending that was Christian because the Pastor there is so animated and really keeps you engaged in the sermon. Funny thing is that any where else we went to church he would fall asleep (even in the Catholic Church). So, now we have been living here in Melbourne for just over a year, and I am still watching the services from the Calvery Chapel in Ft. Lauderdale on the internet, and despirately need to be part of a church again. Any help on a Christian Church that has a great pastor that can keep my husbands attention, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank so much and God bless,
D.

Hi there!

I my family and I moved here from Coral Springs a little over a year ago, and I too went to Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale on occasion! Pastor Bob was great!!! Have you tried the Calvary Chapel in West Melbourne yet? I have been going quite frequently. He's not Pastor Bob, but you do get taught and fed...and its not boring!!! The kids programs are great from what I can see. My daughter is 2, soon to be three, and she LOVES it there. E-mail me if you would be interested in maybe meeting up at a service or if you have any more questions.
You can go to the website, www.calvarymelbourne.org to check some sermons out as well. My e-mail address is ____@____.com

God bless you too!! Have a wonderful day!

Hi D.,
I'm not sure how far you are willing to travel but the church I attend is great. It's called House of Prayer in Palm Bay just off of Palm Bay Rd. I also grew up in a Catholic church and fell asleep often. Many of the people in my church were also in that same situation. It is a smaller church than Calvary in West Melbourne but I like that because it's more intimate. The pastor and his family are wonderful and very down to earth which makes service a lot more interesting and keeps my attention not to mention a great message. We are having a family home improvement seminar in October if you want to check it out then. There will be lots of things for the kids to do too. My 2 daughters, 6 & 11, love it. They have other activities that they can be involved with too like the puppet team, breakdancing, mime and a few other things. You can email me if you have specific questions at ____@____.com
