I am 5'10" and have herniated a disc before so I had the same concern. Some cheaper options are the Evenflo XSport Plus (only the Plus has the extendable handles) a great umbrella stroller and the Chicco travel system stroller - I forget the specific name but it is their largest and its handle bar is also maneuvers to be taller. Never felt uncomfortable with either.

C.,
I am also tall and had concerns with finding a stroller whose handles were high enough for me. We ended up getting the Bugaboo Gecko. Expensive - yes (mu hubby and I are both cursed with expensive taste), but in the first 3 years with my son (and now expecting a second next month) I have never been uncomfortable pushing that thing around. I'm sure part of it is it's maneuverability, but it's also because the handles are at a good height so I don't have to hunch over. I'm sure there are other, less expensive strollers out there that would work, as well. I just thought I'd throw this one into the mix!
Good luck! (I hope you got a rocker/glider with a high back, as well! Again, we spent more on ours, but seeing as how I slept in that during his infancy, it was WELL worth the money!)

I am 5'10" and never had a problem with my Graco strollers - but umbrella strollers were a real issue. I ended up getting a Jeep umbrella stroller. Well priced, lightweight and TALL. The little sidebags are nice for a bit of storage too.

We have the Uppa Baby Vista and the handle bar is adjustable and very very long. Check it out!

Have you looked at the Bugaboo Cameleon? It has an adjustable handle bar. It's expensive but if you use your stroller a lot its worth it. We got the Bugaboo Frog...there are slight differences between the two, the handle bar being one of them. In retrospect, we wish we had bought the Cameleon...its worth the money.

I am 6'2" and was very happy with the Graco stroller system. However, the Chicco umbrella stroller we registered for and received was HORRIBLE for tall people. I was always hunched over walking. I bought some stroller extenders for it, but they wouldn't work on the Chicco.

I had the same problem. There was no stroller that I could find to use for strolling any length of time before my back would just ache so went to a backpack. You might say but I have back problems but if you a good backpack with a good frame that go all the way down and has a tie around the hips you back will stay straight and the weight will rest on your shoulders and back. We carried our son a front papoose pack (a Snuggly) til age 6 months and switch to backpack and carried him that way til age 2. By that time he could walk or I carried him on my hip or my husband carried him.

Check out this backpack. It has back support and is an A frame so when you stop and sit down just set baby down. Available at Target.

I'm 5'10" my husband is 6' and we LOVE our Maclarens. Yep, when we had twins last year I bought a double along with our single.

I also have lower back problems (herniated discs) and one of the main reasons we purchased the Maclaren Triumph is that it's 11 lbs! It was easy for me to lift the stroller in and out of the car. The stroller also folds to umbrella size, so it leaves your trunk pretty empty for groceries, etc.

It also comes with a great rain/wind barrier that we used when walking around the Smithsonian in March (multiple times).

They are expensive, but you can try to get them used as well. I've never regretted the purchase.

Good luck!
