I saw a very helpful thread on car seats so I thought I would ask what you use for high chairs. It is time to buy one for my little guy and I want one that is easy to use and clean.

Many thanks!

What can I do next?

Get one that has a plastic cushion. It's so much easier for spot cleaning. Also you want the cushion to be machine washable for those big messes. I have one that is adjustable in every direction (up/down seat back tilt/straight up) I think it's made by Graco. It had a dishwasher safe tray top that was useless and became warped in the dishwasher so we never used it again.

I like our Chicco seat:

Plastic cover=easy to clean.
One handed tray adjustment.
Leg middle piece/holder on tray--easy to put kid in and out.
Tray adjustment in front--child cannot do it him/herself!

I recommend one that has a tray that can be easily inserted or pulled out with one hand. Also, plastic is great - I remember bringing mine outside and scubbing it down with the hose and bleach water.

K.,

I use an EvenFlo high chair and with the exception of the insert tray, I love it. It has the plastic backing for easy clean, a place for her sippy cup, two pull out trays, recliner seat, can be adjusted to about 5 different heights, and best of all........it's cheap and it can be folded for travel. I take it with me, along with the stroller, to family picnics, holiday parties and everything. It's awesome because it fits in my trunk and it's easy clean. I took the tray out and discarded it. It's a waste of space and honestly, you'll only end up cleaning both the insert tray and the attached tray. I don't know about you, but I'd rather do one than both.

Mine did not come with toy attachments. I just give her blocks and spoons and stuff to play with while eating. I've found that mats do not work for me since she can hurl food further than the mat goes. So, I just clean the floor and work on teaching her not to throw or play with her food.....doesn't always work, but some days I get my point across. Good luck with whatever you decide!
