To Test or Not to Test? - Rochester,MI

I was supposed to get my period today, the 9th. I am always very regular with my days, within a day always! Well 4 days before I was supposed to get my period, I had very very light bleeding, for like half the day, hardly anything. The next day, the same thing, and the next day. Now today's the day I was supposed to get my period and it's still very light and off and on bleeding. Like I said I am always the same as far as my period, always on time and my period is ALWAYS ridiculously heavy, like need to change every 2 hours. It usually starts out with light bleeding but will go into heavy bleeding within a couple of hours, which hasn't happened yet.

This is just very abnormal for me and has got me thinking if I should take a pregnancy test or not? Me and DH have had sex all month without any birth control at all so it is possible. Am I just reading too much into this or is there a chance I could be pregnant?

What can I do next?

Sounds rather suspicious. Then again I'm pregnant with oops number 3. Take a test. Either way its better to know what's going on. Good luck!

If you and DH have been having unprotected sex for a month you could be singing lullabies in 9 months! No worries...take a test, it can't hurt. If you are usually like a clock then hmmmm....could be! I hope you get the answer you want. Take care!

I am always very regular like you. One time about 4 days before I was to start, I had some spotting. Then when it was actually time to start, I never started. I was 38 years old and I didn't know if, because of my age, the spotting should be considered a period. After I was late, I took a pregnancy test just to put my hubby's mind at ease LOL. I tested positive but it said on the box that people who are peri-menapausal will have a false positive. I was sure I was peri-menapausal. Long story, short, I'm sitting here breastfeeding my 5 month old baby!! =) It's very possible that CONGRATULATIONS are in order!! Good luck and keep me posted!! =)

there is always a chance. i'd take the test just to be sure. you could have gottin pregnant or you could have sex for a year and a half like my husband and me and not get pregnant at all. just when we thought we had some kind of problem i got pregnant. Good luck.

There is alway's that chance of conceiving when BC isn't used..Test if you want to or wait for a few day's to see if your period comes then if not test but more than likely if you get a neg.test today you'll be testing in a few days if no period
