The LIttle Chapel in the Woods is a beautiful venue for a wedding; Hubbard Hall is also a historic landmark and offeres a good variety of different sized rooms for receptions. There is a good selection of catering choices and packages to choose from. Call Jennifer at ###-###-#### on Monday!

There is a place right near the library in Denton. It is some sort of women's pavilian. I do not know the costs but it might be some place to check out. I have been to a wedding reception there before. Also, if you do the Little Chapel in the Wood, make sure you ahve a good photographer. The place is small and VERY DARK. I've attended and seen photos from two weddings there and both brides were devastated at how dark the pictures were and how hard it was to distinguish the bride and groom.

Both the UNT and TWU college campuses offer nice places for wedding receptions at reasonable prices. I had my wedding at TWU's Little Chaple in the Woods (seats 100 comfortably and up to 120) and had my reception at UNT's Gateway Center. We had many compliments about the quality of the food especially (UNT offers a variety of buffet and/or sit down menus). TWU also has a reception place, but since my husband and I both graduated from UNT, we wanted to have the reception there.

Grand Traditions in Corinth (between Denton and Lewisville) is an all inclusive, reasonably priced, wedding venue. We married there over 8 years ago and had a fantastic experience. They are wonderful people to work with. They have a lovely wedding hall; a complete kitchen and reception area; an outside gazebo for outdoor weddings or photos. They provide a CD of pics and a video of the wedding that you take with you when you leave. They will arrange the minister, you can pic from a list or provide your own, then you can choose a pre-writen ceremony or write your own (I used excerpts from several different ones to completely customize our vows) and they will also provide the bridal bouquet, they have a whole rack of silk bouquets to choose from. The costs is one price, all inclusive, and you choose as small or as large a package as you want based on your needs and your budget. Our wedding plans, which took months to arrange and finalize, was wrecked when the venue dropped us just 10 days before the wedding for a real stupid reason. So, as I tried not to panic, I searched the yellow pages for an alternate venue and found Grand Traditions. One phone call and one visit and all was taken care of. Saved our wedding and my sanity in one day. They have a website, just Google "Grand Traditions."

If you don't mind the DFW area, try Level Two. Their rates are phenomenal. The photos on their website don't do the place justice - you have to see it in person. It's so quaint and charming and the owner has years of experience. I looked at dozens of places and no one could beat Level Two's prices. They also cater the food which was delicious. They have a huge parking lot which is something to consider if you're having a lot of guests. I can't say enough about it - my guests are still raving about the reception my husband and I had there! I got married at the historic courthouse on the square in downtown Denton in the commissioner's courtroom. The trees on the courthouse lawn have white Christmas lights on year round, and are beautiful at night. The best is the price, FREE! All you have to give is a $100 deposit, which they will give you back. (I wrote them a check and they mailed it back to me after the wedding) We also had a beautiful (and affordable) reception at Sneaky Pete's on Lake Lewisville. They have a small room called the Redwood Deck ( I think) with a lovely stone fireplace and small parquet dance floor with large windows that look out over the lake. They also have EXCELLENT food (the catering side, not bar side.) The pecan encrusted chicken in praline sauce is what we chose! Hope this helps!
