Weekend Classes for Infants?

Does anyone know of place that has "mom and baby" classes on the weekends? I am really open to anything...music, sign language, etc.. I have only been able to find classes during the week. I am a working Mom and I would love to do an activity like this on a Saturday or Sunday with my baby.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

A JW Tumbles opened in Herndon! We enrolled and my daughter loved it!! We also took a swim class in Leesburg that was fun, but a long drive. Thanks for all of the input!

I wrote the exact same post a few months ago and I still havent found a great solution. I did do 2 different Gymboree trial classes--a regular Gymboree class at the Tysons location on a Sunday morning, and a Gymboree music class in the Chantilly location on a Sunday morning. I think we preferred the music class but not enough to enroll. I think more weekend stuff seems to be available when the babies hit the 1 year mark so I am just trying to arrange weekend playgroups for her until more classes are available.

A friend of mine did Kindermusik classes in the Mount Vernon area on Saturdays; perhaps you could try that.

you could try looking at Part Takes, it's for FFX County and lists all rec centers/ Also there is Play Cafe in reston, an awesome place! Pretty sure they have Sat classes, www.atplaycafe.com
Good Luck,

Try Loudoun County Parks and Rec. You may have to pay more since you live in Fairfax County, but I think you can still enroll.

I feel your pain as I too am a working Mommy. I enrolled my 7 month old in My Gym Classes on Saturday in Leesburg. Although, that is kinda pricey. But we are also doing swimming lessons on Saturday's at 9 AM at Ida Lee and she is having so much fun!

Check out Gymboree. I know they have it in Springfield and may have it nearer to you. It is a fantastic music/movement program.

you are right! there is a dirth of parent / child classes on WEEKENDS for us working moms! You can do anything you want if you are available 10 to 2, Tuesdays & Thursdays, but not Saturday or Sunday!

Try locating a decent swim center -- these will usually have baby classes availble on weekends, BUT, these are usually the ones that fill up first!

Good luck. I know where you are coming from!
