I lost considerable weight (I would estimate it at about 20 pounds) doing the South Beach diet. I followed it 95% and the weight fell off within 2 months.. everyone at work noticed and asked how I did it. And exercise had no bearing (I didn't exercise regularly, maybe 1X or 2X a week). I noticed it first in my belly/bottom/hips. Then in my legs. I was so stoked! I loved eating real food and not packaged food and didn't have to watch portions. I really just cut out carbs (bread, noodles, rice, sweets).

I lost 25 lbs in about 2.5 months. Really, really watched what I ate and drank several cups of green tea every day. Still doing the same. Gained about 5 lbs back at Christmas but havent done anything to remove those ones cuz they just dont matter to me since my jeans all still fit fine :)
Now I drink a lot of blender drinks to get all my fruit and veggie quota for the day and we usually only eat a normal dinner but no later than 6pm.
Weight loss started from the top down on me. When the thighs started shrinkng it was so awesome :)

last year i lost 10lbs or a little more in 2 mos. i noticed it first in my upper chest and face. (that's where i lose weight first) i didn't take pills because i have bad side effects from them. i just went to sparkpeople.com (it's free) and logged my food and exercised like i normally did (between 30-60mins) about 5 days/week. i think that the most important thing a person can do to lose weight is log their food and know how many calories they are eating. i walked/ran, did the elliptical and also did dvds and exercise tv on demand. i've lost a total of about 20-25lbs. it will also depend on how much weight you have to lose as to how much you will lose at first.

Well, giving birth and the 2 weeks that followed was the most weight I'd ever lost in the shortest amount of time. I lost 20lbs at delivery, and then 20 lbs more over 2 weeks that followed between breast feeding and losing water weight. My ankles/feet stopped swelling up and it felt so good to have my kidneys and bladder to myself again after 9 months of sharing.
Any other weight loss had a lot to do with not snacking (not so much exercising or not) over long periods of time. A pound or two a week is considered safe. I gain 5lbs / lose 5 lbs in water weight every month around my period, but that doesn't really count.

I lost 30 pounds in 2.5 months and I first noticed it in my face. I did it by following a clean-eating diet which included: eating every 2-3 hours, making sure my meals had fat/carb/protein, avoiding simple sugars, avoiding sodium, staying at 1600-1800 calories, and hydrating.

Last fall I lost 30 pounds (then I got pregnant!) by excersising and sort-of following Slim Fast. By that I mean that I did the shake in the morning and at lunch but I allowed myself as much fruit and veggies as I wanted and ate what the family ate for dinner (had a 3 and 1.5 year old at that time). I ran on the treadmill for between 30-60 minutes 5 days a week and did a little free weights and calisthetics (sit ups, push ups, lunges). I lost my 30 pounds in about 5 months fairly steadily - so in 2 months I'd say I lost about 12ish pounds.

I lost about 8 lbs in two months through Weight Watchers. They teach you the right way to lose weight -- gradually, through smart food choices and exercise -- which is why I've kept off everything I lost (20 lbs. total). For me, I notice weight loss in my fingers first (sigh) ... no joke.

I lost about 40 lbs in one month just because I started taking Shaklee vitamins and protein. My goal was just to get healthy and the weight fell off. I never diet. (I had an undiagnosed health issue-I had not been over weight as a rule. Throughout my life I noticed that people who diet are overweight, so I don't do it.) I am a personal trainer. I have a client who is the same height as me. She weighs 25 lbs less than me and is super thin. But she is about 5% fatter than me. Her muscle mass is extremely low.
But Brad Lamm (from Dr. Oz) just put out his new book: Just Lose 10 and he uses the Shaklee weight management system. It is great for lossing stubborn belly fat. Let me know if you are interested.
Good luck and God bless.
