Weird Food You Eat Part 2 - Phoenix,AZ

I asked this quesiton a while ago and got over 100 responses. It started because I had posted on Facebook I was eating a cheese and pickle sandwich (no, not preggo) and people freaked out and said how weird that was. So I asked what kind of "weird" food you or someone in your family likes to eat and got some interesting answers.

Last night I was having a tuna sandwich and my daughter was eating pineapple rings. I jokingly said "hey, I wonder how those would taste on my sandwich". And I tried it and it was SO GOOD!!!

My husband and I ate at a buffet over the weekend and he came back with a baked potato with butter and BROWN SUGAR on it...HUH??? He said if its good on sweet potatoes, maybe its good on regular potaoes. LOL!!

So now I'm asking again, what weird food or food combination do you or someone you know like to eat?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Meatballs with raisins, yeah, that's weird! I know most of this isn't weird to us but others think so! That's why the question is fun!

I also LOVE to dip my Nacho Cheese Doritos in sour cream, I got that from my roommate in college. And I put black pepper on my canteloup. I'll have to keep thinking of things and put them on here when I think about it!

Keep them coming!!!

I eat salt on my watemelon (and apples)...and my family's old fashioned recipe (from my 100% Italian Grandma) for meatballs has raisins in them. Makes them very moist and great tasting! My hubby and most people think this is nutso!??

I am a pretty picky eater so many people eat weird things as far as I am concerned! LOL

Haha some of those are making me laugh! Fun question!

I LOVE salt on watermelon and canteloupe too! I like to eat doritos on my pb & j sandwiches. I agree that pineapple with tuna is YUMMY! Mustard with tuna is good too. This isn't all that weird, but I like to eat yogurt-covered craisins and pretzels in the same bite. The sweet/salty mix is awesome!

Fun!

I don't think any of these are weird, but my husband makes fun of me constantly when I do any of them:

I will take shredded cheese and melt it in a plastic bowl and eat it hot - and we are talking a ton of cheese.

I take pieces of string cheese and break them up into my spaghettios.

I dice up fresh tomatoes and put them on my pizza.

Once the pickle jar is empty, I ask the family to save the jar for me so I can drink the juice.

I love dipping french fries in ice cream. Specifically Dairy Queen french fries and an Oreo blizzard.

My favorite sandwich is bologna, cheese, BBQ chips, and ketchup. Ketchup on both pieces of bread, a layer of chips on each piece of bread and the bologna and cheese in the middle. It's best on fresh buttermilk bread. So good!

Oh, and I put ketchup on almost everything. Chips, rice, mashed potatoes, you name it, I've probably done it at some point.

I like grated apple in a vegitarian sandwhich.
I don't mind peanutbutter and pickle sanwhiches, but would never make myself one.
I also like ranch dressing on rice but would never put it on there from the get go, has to be discreatly mixed in from a salad next to it.

I dip lemon wedges into pickle juice. I like the sour & salty taste! :)

Also, I don't think this is "weird", but some others do.
Most times, when I eat salad I don't add lettuce or salad dressing. So it will be Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, Kalamata olives and a little bit of shredded cheese. on top. I love it and have often defended it by explaining that fruit salad nor potato salad contain lettuce, yet they are still considered salads. :)

Im not too. Uch of a adventurous eater, but there are a few things I eat that my husband gags at! I love to break up cornbread in a glass and cover with buttermilk. Its a country thing, but all I need is that and a spoon! Ever mix pnut butter and syrup together and smear on toast or a biscuit? Yummy!! I put salt and pepper on my fruit as well. When I was a kid we would make bologna and cheese sandwiches with yellow mustard and dip it in pace picante sauce. Deeeelicioussss! I love fruit with savory too. If I eat a sausage biscuit its got to have apricot jelly on it!
