What Is the Best Basal Body Thermometer?

We are going to try to conceive #2 in a few months, and I wanted to start tracking my basal body temperature. I just bought a thermometer from CVS and it takes at least 3 minutes to take my temperature, and it never remembers the previous temperature taken like it says it should. I don't know if it's defective, or just a bad thermometer, but I need one that is accurate and easier to use. Where did y'all get ones that you have, and what worked best for you?

What can I do next?

I bought one at Walgreen's. I think it is the walgreens brand. It does track the previous five temps. I think they all take a few minutes to get the temp, which seems like forever when you are just lying in bed, trying not to move too much. Good luck!!!

Hi, I used the pink one from Walmart. It worked fine... I printed my charts online and ordered some little cheapy ovulation strips from babyhopes.com and early pregnancy tests.com. The key as you may already know, is trying before your temp goes up, because then it is too late. And I did this the second month of trying and success, now have a beautiful baby girl :)!!! Good Luck!

Is it the CVS brand? I have that one and thought it wasn't holding the last temp either. Turns out you have to hold down the button until it shows the last temp and it goes back to Lo once you release it. Also, most of them will take 2 to 3 minutes because they are more accurate and consistent (and read to the hundredth of a degree) than a regular thermometer. I've been known to fall back to sleep with it in my mouth and have to start all over again! lol

Good luck on your journey!
