What Is Your Favorite Swing for Babies?

I have two OLD swings that are due to go kaput soon and am thinking about a new one. Which one do you like? The only thing I really want is the ability for it to go fast (I am a HBOTB fan and am of the mind that babies like a lot of movement)....music is not important (although if there is one out there with white noise, please let me know).

Also, does anyone have that SweetPeace swing thingy? I read mixed reviews...

What can I do next?

Not sure of your due date, but in January there is a cool seat/swing hybrid hitting the market. It was created by a Pittsburgh company called 4moms - www.4momsonline.com - the product is called the mamaRoo. It's cool bc it has 5 unique motions that mimic the natural movements a mom makes when soothing her baby. And the mamaRoo doesn't just swing or vibrate it moves up and down as well as side to side. It definitely has varrying speeds and you can hook up mp3 player. Plus there are cool toy balls!

Check out the mamaRoo and other awesome 4moms products at www.4momsonline.com

My favorite swing is the Fisher Price cradle swing that is like a papesean (sp?) chair. It has small birds above and plays music or nature sounds (you can turn these off or on...we always have them off). The swing is comfy and smooth with plenty of power to handle kids as they get heavier. Both my children napped in this swing until they were 6 mo old! My only complaint is that it goes through D batteries like crazy...thank goodness for Costco!

Fisher Price Papasan cradle swing. It has different noise options - songs, rain, nature sounds and also has swing and cradle options. The seat is also very snug. All 3 of my kids loved it!

Hi S.,
My favorite swing was Fisher Price Nature Papasan Cradle Swing, the new one is called the Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing. My boys loved it, my oldest loved it so much he used it until about 18 months. It cradles them so nicely, very safe and soothing. I also liked it for when my children had colds, I would put them in there to sleep, to make sure they could breathe right, plus they wanted to be in there. Everyone that I know loves it, I have recommended it so many times and not one person has had anything bad to say. It swing two different ways, front to back like the old ones and also side to side. It plays music and has a mobile with mirror, and tray with toys for when they get older. The Best Swing! It also has won parents choice awards.Good Luck!

My first two didn't take to swings but I still have mine in case this one does! We bought the Soothing Motions Glider by fisher price and it was the best purchase I feel like I made for my second son who didn't even take to a bouncing seat-other then being in a sling this was the only thing that I could get him calm in.
