Since I have to have a question I thought sharing nicknames would be fun! Then I will add quick update on kiddo.

When I was born, my parents knew I would be E....my moms middle name. My dad thought E. sounded to professional for a baby though. So, right away I became Libby....I still go by that to all near and dear to me...I have had a few more names added along the way though...here is my list...Liberal, Liberty, Libigail and my personal funny favorite...Liberache....

My kids are...Bubby, Punkin Pie boy and ZZ Top....hubby doesnt have any personal favs of his own....So, we just call him cor...

Update og Gieger...doing ok. Doc knows I am a bit nervous about being released today. So, I think we are going to stick around until tomorrow:)

Once doctors come in thogh I will have a better idea and will update this message.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

When the Team of Doctors come in, I am going to request he stay one more night...I want a dry run with no IV fluids in him to see how well he does keeping up his water/fluid intake. This way I know with 100% confidence that when it is time to go we wont back slide and have to return here:)

Just got done meeting with the team of doctors. They think he is stable enough to send him home...I am feeling better about that idea too. After I posted the last update he talked with me and he has promised that he will help me out by taking his medicines. Hopefully he can prove this to us. They are going to attempt his Anti-viral and Tylenol by giving him his next doses through his mouth...We are heading home though which makes me feel really happy:) This has been a great experience knowing there is a place that we can get the spport needed when it comes to dealing with sick kids.

everything and everyone here has a bizillion nicknames...I rarely call anyone by their true name....my favorite nickname for my son came about while we were camping. he was probably around four and we were at a campground that had a playground. he was running around like a crazyman so we were saying his name a lot (we always use his first and middle name) so it was Cameron Roy this and Cameron Roy that. two other kids were there playing and started calling him Camel Boy. I asked one of them what are you calling him? and he said Camel Boy, isnt that his name? OMG I just about died laughing...

Libby,
I am so happy Geiger is doing well enough to go home!!! Woohooo!!!!

I love your question about nicknames. Christi is short for my first name, but most of my family calls me Chris. My older sister always calls me Chrich, Chrichum, or Christmas. (Gotta love sisters!) My Mom calls me sis, and my Dad calls me babe a lot. My older nephews call me AC and the younger ones call me Aunt MeMe. My mom's old friend always called me Crispy Critter. (That was embarassing at ball games!) When I was a kid and my parents would try to get onto me they would cal me... Jer-Mar-Day-Gre-Chris! (The first half of all my sibling's names, always in that order!) That always made me laugh. Shh...don't tell them that!
Wow... I have a lot of nicknames! I am beginnig to wonder if anybody knows my real name!

I don't have a nick name, but I call my daughter bug. She was "my love-bug", but somehow the love got dropped and now it's just bug, and I will call her that as long as she will tolerate it :) I also have a 9 month old niece named Juniper, so she's June or Junie to most people, but to me she's my little jellybean.

What a relief. I hope that the meds continue to work and your son is able to continue taking in nourishment.

I tend to introduce myself as J., but people who know me well call me Jessie or Jess. I have some others I'd rather not mention since they're big identifiers and incorporate my maiden name.

My eldest daughter is Juliana. She's Juli, Jules, Junie, Sweets. She doesn't really like anything else.

My middle daughter is Grace. She's Gracie, Graciela, Frou Frou, Froufy Doo, Princess.

My youngest daughter is Anneliese. She's Anna, Buttercup, Faithie Poo, Darling, and Little Nut.

All three are Goober. :-)

My nicknames are Suzy, Suzy-qz, Suz, Suzer

My daughter's name is Annalise, but we have called her Bean or Beanie since the first ultrasound. Only my husband and I call her that. To everyone else she's Annalise. Although she says next year she'll put Bean on the back of her softball jersey.

My middle child is Josh and we call him Joshie.

My baby boy is Brendan. My husband started calling him Bo Bo when he was tiny and it stuck. Now he thinks his name is Bo Bo.

So glad Gieger is home and better now! Get some rest!

my name is Cheyenne. I have never liked any nickname that people tried to come up with for me. My hubby sometimes would call me Chey and that was ok, but only coming from him...

Oh, I just thought of one. My "Medford mom" (a lady I worked with while going to college that I was really close with) used to call my Lady Chey (shy). I did like that, but only from her. :)

Glad to hear about Gieger.

I pretty much go by V. now, but when I was growing up I was Vee, Tori, Vicki (which I hated), Torah, T, and my sister's kids call me Tortee. When I would go out to bars as I got older and was approached by someone I didn't like I would use the Tessa.

Great and fun question! My dad would call me JT during softball...for my favorite player(Jim Thome) so I would remember to swing hard. My daughter just got a nickname...Bolt...because she just had her kindergarten track meet and blew away everyone in the 40 yard dash...my hubby was very proud. So we thought...Usain Bolt...it stuck. I'm pregnant and have nicknamed the baby Boog(another baseball reference). So she will probably be Boog forever!

Julz. It started in high school and stuck (probably since I married my high school sweetheart)
I often call my kids by the first syllable of their name. So my daughter's nickname sounds very boyish - Al. Online, I refer to them as Ms Girl, Thing 1 and Thing 2 (I don't use their real names on FB or anything ... call me paranoid).

My name is H.. Im hardly called that by my sisters. When I was a baby my mom would hold my twin sister and my big sister would take me. I would hold on so tight my sister didn't have to put her arms on me so my mom said I looked like a spidermonkey hangin on. Therfore, I've been spidermonkey my whole life. I used to get mad cuz I didn't think being called a monkey was nice, but I don't mind a bit now! My mama also called me pollywog. I like spidermonkey better! My twin sisters name is haley and since my son was able to talk he's called her dodo. No clue why but that's hers! My mamas name was glenna but with that hair of hers she was called red! My sons name is nicholas and I call him nicko or nickle pickle (he hates that!)
fun question!
glad the baby is feeling better!

Son: baby bear, Cael Bear, Bubs, Bubbie, smiley

However he refuses to let anyone outside the family call him any of the above..."Mine name is Cael, I am not a bub!".
