I wouldn't suggest starting until 18 months at least. trust me, I know diapers are expensive (I have 3 boys)But trying to potty train too young can backfire. The cloth training pants seemed to work the best for us, as Pullups felt too much like a diaper for my guys. Hope this helps!

My oldest 2 daughters started potty training around 27 months old and within 1 week were completely trained without any further accidents. I habitually brought both girls into the bathroom with me once they started walking (just so I could keep an eye on them when I was in there) and I think that sparked their interest. They both liked to sit on a step stool that was in there and "pretend" to use the potty. They even asked for toilet paper to pretend to wipe. I think you'll spot the clues when your daughter is ready and wouldn't try to push it any sooner. I went right to underwear with both kids, and then just used pull-ups at nap time. My oldest wore pull-ups at night time until she was 3, but my middle child is 3 now and still needs a diaper at night. Good luck!

whatever you do stay consistant. but i have to agree with the other moms and say i think you should wait. Between 18-24 months is a great time to start.

I started training my son at 19mo. He is 26mo. and is 85% potty trained (we took it slowly). I strongly recommend waiting until she shows readiness signs. Don't start b/4 she is ready. My son started communicating early that he went pee or poo, then even stating it b/4 he actually went. This is when I bought a potty (shortly after turning 1) and let him get used to it in the bathroom. You can buy a potty & let her get used to it, take her to the bathroom w/ you & let her watch you go and see how she reacts. Good luck.

You have to start slowly, especially at that age. I would start by putting a little potty in your bathroom and when you go you can encourage her to sit on her potty, dressed or undressed. Talk to her about body parts and functions. That is how we started but my son was closer to 18 months. We began hard core training at around 24 months.

As soon as she shows sign you can start. Begin by placing her on the toilet getting her familiar with the potty time. Especially during diaper changes. Then when she poos-show her by placing the poo from the diaper into the toilet, encourage her to flush the poo and then wash hands. This should get you started. Once ready then use panties or long shirts to cover her bottom. Try to stay away from pull-ups they are the same thing as a diaper. Use only when going out and about. Also, rewarding her for tinkling or pooing in the toilet with simple items ex: stickers, popcicle, lollipop, clapping, big hugs, and praise!!! Good luck!!

We put a potty chair in the bathroom around 12 months old and told her it was her little potty to use when mommy went. She would toddle in there and sit. One morning, around 18 months, she took off her diaper and sat (on her own). A few weeks later, she sat and peed right after she woke up. (The look of surprise on her face was priceless.) At that point, we put her on it every morning and after every nap, sometimes she would pee sometimes not. We started trying for real around 22 months, and she was done (except for sleeping) at 23 months.

As far as pull-ups vs cloth, I tried the cloth first. She HATED them and would run screaming at the sight (especially the ones with the plastic outer layer). Pull-ups worked just fine, even though she knows they are like a diaper.

Take it slowly, no pressure, but don't wait to introduce the potty seat. They are still receptive to new ideas at 1...
