I would like to learn to knit...I've wanted to for some time but have not found a class in our area. I figure I better start looking now if I want to have some nice things made by next Christmas, ha!

Hi D.,

I learned to knit last year from the videos on www.knittinghelp.com

There is also a yarn shop in Plano that offers knitting classes: www.woolieewe.com

Good luck...it is addictive!!!

If you're near/in Irving, you might check Googly Eyes (MacArthur and 183).

I second the suggestion for the Woolie Ewe. They also have a knitting table where you can go anytime and work on a project, then ask for help when you get stuck. This is a great resource when you're learning something new! (although it will also take great restraint to leave their store without buying any of their gorgeous, gorgeous yarn!)
