Anyone know of some fun - energy burning places to go for toddlers? I know of Jungle Java in Farmington Hills (indoor Playground)($3/ child under 2, and Ferndale Parks and Rec has Romp and Stomp on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($2/ child). Do you know of any more that are cheap or free?

What can I do next?

I take my daughter to the mall. They usually have a romp area with padded or cushioned floors. It's free! And you can window shop :) Your local library or community centers will have some free activities through the week. Or maybe find a willing Mom to have a play date and switching houses is fun too.

We go to our local library for storytime once a week. It is wonderful and free. I paid $250.00 for practically the same class at mom/tot and they prefer the library!

I ama mom of 2 year old girl and 7 month old boy..

I found lots of things for us to do this winter.

Ferndale community center has a playroom open 9-3 mon- friday. Lots of toys fairly clean. $ 2 a kid.

Roseville has a gym that they open certain days.. You should be able to find it online. I have never been there.

Centerline schools has "play with me" on tuesdays and thursdays. A playgroup for kids 0-36 months. It costs $20 a month. We go to this program. You can bring your infant with you. You should be able to find it online...or send me an email and I can send you a link

Look into musical story time - classes start this week in troy and rochester, royal oak and madison heights. It is a great class. We go to the troy location on saturday mornings... the website is musicalstorytime.com

-Lakeside Mall has a great play area for Toddlers only - free
-Bouncin Kidz in Clinton Twp. has Open Jump on Fridays from 10am-1pm for $8. There is a punch card, after you go so many times, you get a free one. You might want to check other Jumpy places if this isn't close to you. This is very fun. It has lots of blow up jumpy things and slides and obstacle courses.

-Sterling Inn Waterpark - Mondays 9am-1pm, it is $12. You need to make reservations. I haven't been there yet, but it looks so fun!

-Also, try your local township or county. I know some of them have community recreation centers with nice pools and other things for the kids.
-Hopefully we'll get more snow and you can go outside a little bit. I know that is sometimes rough to get them all bundled up just for a few minutes of play at that age.
Have fun!

check out your local gymnastic gyms. there is one at 32 mile and M53 called Amercan Gymnastics. They have open gym time from 2-3pm on Tuesdays for $6. There are trampolines and balance beams and bars and mirrors and mats and the floor is bouncy. there is also a sponge pit! my son loves it! they are listed so you can look them up to call. they also offer classes.
