Seventh Generation Diapers and Other Brands

I have a new baby and he has incredibly sensitive skin. I've always used Pampers with my daughter and never had any problems but he seems to need something a little "greener." I tried the Target natural diapers, nature care i think and they were ok and want to try Seventh Generation but wanted to get some opinions on them and also on their wipes. Or any other wipes you recommend. I just heard that regular baby wipes have antifreeze in them and am really uncomfortable with using the Huggies wipes I've always bought. Although they work...

SEVERE Diaper Rash!

My 17 month old daughter never really had diaper rash until about month ago when she developed one. It has gotten worse and then better and then worse again and the past 2 nights when she I wiped her she was in agony and I saw blood on the wipe! It was very disconcerting to say the least. I use cloth diapers except at night and change her immediately when she is wet. I have been trying to let her spend some time naked each day but admittedly I get tired of cleaning pee off of everything. At home I use wet cloths instead of wipes but when...

Does Anyone Use HE Detergent in Their Front Loader?

Hi Moms, I have a front load washing machine and have always used 'Dreft' to wash baby clothes as instructed to do so by my mother in law! After a horrible week when my washer broke (which naturally coincided with my toddler's bad case of upset tummy), both plumber and Whirlpool tech told me it was important to use a HE laundry detergent. Dreft don't seem to make a HE version and I can't find a color/fragrance-free HE detergent. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!

Wondering If Son Is Allergic:(

My son is 15 months old and since he was born I have been going back and forth between Huggies diapers and Pampers. Really what ever is on sale and if neither I would buy Huggies. Well my problem is about 2 1/2 months ago he started to scratch his upper butt. At times it is really bad that it will bleed. It looks horrible again. Over the last months it seems to get better and then come back. Well right now it is really really bad. I was thinking about it and for the last 3 weeks it has just been huggies I have been using and is seems...

Allergic to Disposable Diapers?

Our daughter has broken out about 6 times in the past 8 months with severe welts. This started when she was in cloth diapers and then later in disposable diapers. We contributed the first couple of breakouts to lavendar. The first time was when I used Essential Lavendar oil in her wipe solution and the second time when I put lavendar lotion on her. (It took the second time to figure out the connection!) Then in the past week, she has broken out 3 more times. At first we thought it was us changing our dryer sheet brand to Bounce. We...

A Question for Dairy Allergy Moms

I am beginning to suspect our four-year-old daughter may have a dairy allergy. As a baby, she had a rashy issue from the time she was born until she was almost a year old. She had reflux issues. She was always sick and had ear infection after ear infection until we got tubes. She has struggled with coughs and colds. To this day, if someone is sick with a cough, cold or bug and comes near her, she gets it! (Our other two seem to have much stronger immune systems and just don't react this way!) She was finally diagnosed with...
