Community Boards in the Dublin/Powell/surrounding Areas???

Hi Moms, Can you tell me where I can post a flyer for an upcoming event that is geared toward moms with businesses? I've only been able to find libraries (I thought that grocery stores had community boards, but Meijer, Giant Eagle and Kroger do not!) If you have a store-front or something that moms come through, and are willing to talk to me to see about posting this, please let me know! Otherwise, can you think of some other spots in the community that I could try? Thanks!

We do our shopping at Meijer and often when I buy Bolthouse Baby Carrots they are slimmy and slippery. Do they just need to be rinsed? or should I return them? If You all say return thr I will no longer be getting them there. Although I recall a time when we had the same issue with costco.

4 Year Old Son Having Bad Nightmares

Lately my son has been having BAD nightmares where he "wakes" up screaming our names in terror but won't wake up. He continues to have the nightmare and finally will wake up but scared to go back to sleep. Besides him dealing with growing pains in his legs, he is not getting enough sleep. Suggestions on how to wake up little ones from nightmares are greatly appreciated.

2Nd Grader with Possible Learning Disability

I have a 7-year-old son in the second grade. My husband and I just went to a scheduled parent/teacher conference this past week and we have found out that our son may have a possible learning disability. His reading has always been a problem for him. In kindergarden, we found out that he had extremely bad eyesight and it is now being corrected with glasses. His eyesight has since gotten a lot better. He started reading small books in 1st grade and was a little slow then. But now, he's in 2nd grade and he's not progressing like he...

Help Explaining Puberty to Daughter Diagnosed as Mildly Mentally Impaired

I need some guidance on how to explain the changes that are going to be happening to my daughter(periods, breast develpment, boys....YIKES). She is ten and I know I need to start helping her prepare for these things but I'm not sure she will understand very well so I don't know how much to tell her. She is less mature mentally than a normal child her age, however her body is developing normally. Has anyone come across any good books on the subject that you think were geared towards younger children. I know there may be limited advice on...

Preschool Mean Kids

My 3-year-old (he'll be 3 1/2 next week) started preschool soon after getting potty-trained in February of 2007. All of the other kids in his class started in September of 2006 (when school traditionally starts). My son LOVES activities and teachers and kids so my hubby and I were so excited to finally get him potty trained and enrolled in a preschool. In the past we had done classes at the Y, Gymboree, and play groups here and there. After the first week of preschool, my son started to get really quiet when we asked him about...
