Seeking Craft Ideas for Little Mermaid Theme Birthday Party

My daughter will be turning three in February loves the Little Mermaid, so that is going to be the theme of the party. Since the weather in February is so unpredictable I'm planning on setting up craft tables in our garage to keep the kids busy. There will be a wide range of ages from 10-babies, so I need a range of crafts. I'm planning on having one of the walls covered in blue paper, so they can help create an under the sea mural. I will have all sorts of sea animals for them to decorate and tape to the mural. I also saw a cute idea to...

Circus -To Go or Not? Son Has Temp

I am supposed to be going with my sound his preschool class to the circus tomorrow morning. Right now (midnight) he is running a high temp, which has been responding to meds and coming down. He has been looking forward tonthisnfield tripmformawhile and I know he will be rally upset if we don't go. I was going to drive separately to the circus anyway and they don't need me as an extra adult, so the preschool is covered. Do I take him if he is acting alright in the morning? If not what can I do to help him be less upset about missing this...

Ideas for 'Theme's for in Indoors Toddler Playgroup ?

Hi - 15 mom's and kids have just started a new playgroup at a Community Ctr. We have a great sized space but not a lot of money. The kid's are mostly 2-3.5yrs old. Hoping to brain storm a few ideas for different 'theme's to use each week e.g tents, music, balls, making cubby houses with sheets and tables etc. Hoping other mom's might have a few good ideas to share. Thanks ! M.

Need Help with Activities for 19 Month Old

HI- I don't even know what to title this request but I need some advice. And I am sure that once our weather gets better and we can get outside more, then I will feel better. But I am bored and find it hard to figure out new things to do with my daughter. We try to be really active. We go to gymnastics, the library, the children's museum, out for walks, go to the park, playdates, etc....But sometimes I just feel tired of doing kids stuff all the time even though I know that is what my current job is. I feel horrible if I let her watch...

Toys for 12 Month Old

I have been asked to make a Christmas list for my daughter who by the time Christmas comes along will be 12 months. I am looking for ideas ... maybe your child had a toy they really enjoyed. She is trying to walk now and crawls all over the place. She really likes Dora but I like to try to also do some educational toys that she would also enjoy.

1St Birthday Party

I have no idea what I am doing, my son will be 1 year later this month and I don't know the etiquette for his b-day party. Do I provide favors for the kids? I plan on adult food but what about the few children that will be attending that are around the same age? Do I need to provide baby food? I plan on a Winnie the Pooh theme. Does anyone know a good bakery for a cake in the Potomac area? I have one, but they are in Centreville and that is just too far. Also, any good ideas for what to do during the party or is it mostly for the adults...
