Need Menu Ideas for a Large Party

Hi everyone I'm having a surprise retirement/60th birthday for my Dad this August and need help. My plan had been to get a pig for a roast as the main course and make a couple of side salads. However, the pig starts at $500 and even though I got them down quite a bit in price I still can't afford it all. So I am stuck making all the food! Boy Party Favors

My daughters 1st Birthday is coming up and I am doing the whole Royal Princess Theme. I bought the girls Princess notepad/Gel pen and paton (sp)I am stuck on what to buy the boys!!! The Kids coming are 4-11. HELP!!! I will have candy on dessert table and on tabels so I am not putting it in there bags. I thought of maybe squirt guns?? I did ask the parents of all the boys do not mind play squirt guns.

3 Year Old Birthday Party

What would you serve for a party that starts at 2pm and ends at 4 pm. Whoa! I didn't expect such an overwhelming response but thank you. It did help in my decision making. The venue we're going to serves all the food so it makes it easier. I've decided on cake, juice, fruit tray and a veggie tray and then add some salsa and chips for the adults. We'll see how it works. It will be this Thursday =).
