BPA Free Bottle Recommendations

With my first baby I used Avent bottles, but now with my next baby on the way, I have learned more about the importance of Bisphenol-a (BPA) Free bottles. What are your recommendations on these new bottles? What have you found you like/don't like and why? Thanks!

Help! I Am Latex Allergic and Will Be Having a Baby in June.

I need to find out what baby nipples and diapers are latex-free. I keep looking so that I can register for them. I have no idea if my baby will be latex sensitive, but I am. Just touching nipples to wash them can cause me to break out. Does anyone know where I can find more information on latex-free baby products? Thank you in advance!!!!

Infant with Reflux

Hi, I have a 5 week old daughter and since day 3, the doctor said she had reflux. She was not sleeping well and was just a little fussy. He put her on Zantac and switched her formula to Similac Alimentum. I took her off the Zantac b/c it wasn't making a difference and keeping her awake. Now, since last night, she has been uncontrollably crying. Her spell lasted from 6-1030 last night, then she slept on me last night and was ok. Then this morning, same thing. I noticed she had thrush and took her to the dr. He said thrush wouldn't...

Would You Use Avent Bottles Knowing They Contain BPA?

I have some Avent bottles from 2005 that were used by my first daughter. She was breastfed, but I used the Avent bottles for frozen milk storage. She never drank out of them, the nipple was the wrong shape for her. Anyway, I'm pregnant with baby #2 and I don't know if I should use the bottles again for storage knowing as much as I do now about the effect of BPA. This was never a problem until 2008 when we parents found out about it. I've been on the Avent website and they believe that BPA isn't harmful, but have still made some BPA free...

Proper Storage of Milk

I have been debating pumping for the past 5 months of 7. I am leery of the plastic and it's 'phthalates' and other garbage that is newly discovered in it. Now, I have pumped several times, but my son wouldn't take a pacifier, so I didn't try the bottle. Then we heard about these chemicals, and Born Free bottles. Now, my Dear Husband says if I try to sterilize the plastic bottles that go with the pump, these chemicals can be released, and it's no good for our son. To have my milk frozen, it needs to go into sterilized bottles first,...

Introducing Milk to My 1 Year Old

We just started introducing milk to my 1 year old. We have been mixing it with his formula. But lately he seems sooo fussy. I dont know if he is teething, has a cold or if it is because of the milk (maybe not filling enough) Has anyone ever delt with this before? Also, I am trying to get him to stop drinking out of the bottle. He knows how to drink from a sippy cup but he just takes a little and then throws it. Any advice on this??? (Currently using Avent training sippy cup, but have tried many other sippy cups)

Seeking Help with Sleep!

Hello Mamas. I have an almost three year-old boy and a 10 week old little girl. We have a family bed. I've been co-sleeping with my son from the beginning, and he is a great sleeper. My daughter is obviously too little to put on a schedule, etc. However, she's nursing continually ALL NIGHT LONG and I'm really beat. I think my son did this as well from time to time, but I didn't have a 3 year old then. If I try to take her off the breast (which is what our pediatrician recommended) she wakes up and starts fussing and if I don't put her back...
