Spill Proof Travel Mug

Mamas & Papas- We're ready to replace DS's playtex sippy cups with some kid friendly travel mugs. Any ideas or suggestions? Contigo has great reviews, but some say it gets moldy. looking for something that holds roughly 12 oz. spill proof. dishwasher safe. keeps cold beverages cold. the fewer parts the better. it should be lunchbox friendly (so not too big). it should be lunchroom friendly. That's why I am after spillproof rather than a stainless steel water bottle with a screwcap. Thanks a bunch. F. B.

14 Month Old Does Not like Milk in Cup

Hi moms! My 14 month old has been great for months with water in her sippy cup but she hates whole milk in it. She likes milk in the bottle (same milk-whole) and I only do one bottle before bed but only water in a cup-any cup (I've tried a few). One of the reasons too is that she likes to drink her water throughout the day but not so much at meals and I can't leave milk out all day. I am keeping the bottle a bit longer because she has a small appetite and I think she needs tha calories but I don't want her to have the bottle forever. ...

Removing Bottle from 14 Month Old

We successfully removed the binkie from my daughter at 13 months, and now I want to get rid of the bottle. I realize now why Moms say they go from breastfeeding straight to sippy cups. My daughter is hooked. The difference between the bottle and the binkie is that I could let her cry when she wanted the binkie, but I can't get her to drink milk out of any other cup besides the bottle. I give her a sippy cup with milk in it at every meal and she will have nothing to do with it. If I try to give her a sippy cup instead of the bottle she...

Infant with Reflux

I have a almost 5 month old baby boy with reflux. He was born 13 weeks early. The doctor has him on previcid and it has not seemed to work. We have him on the Similic Advance formula. He does ok the first half of his feed, then the rest of his feed he will fight eating. Sometimes after he burps it gets better. He spits up after almost every feed. He is gaining weight. I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems and what worked for you. I am thinking of calling the doctor and putting him on a different formula. He also will cry...

Playtex Double Electric Breast Pump

I am a first time mom shopping for a breast pump. I am using the platex drop in system bottles and am intersted in using the playtex pump that goes with that system. I have read mixed reviews about this pump. Half of the mothers love it and the other half hate it. Any opinions or suggestions about this pump?

Daughter Maturing Too Fast

I have a 9 ½ year old daughter who has just started wearing deodorant. She is also starting to “develop” a little in the chest area. I am assuming that her period is not far behind. I have two older boys so I have never had to go through this before with a child. If any moms out there could share their experiences and how they went about having the talk with their daughter, it would be very helpful to me. My mom never talked to me when I went through it and any advice would be greatly appreciated. If anyone knows of any good web...

12 Month Old Won't Feed Himself

My 12 month old will not pick up food and put it in his mouth. In fact he won't put anything in his mouth except for his pacifier. He will pick food up and play with it but he won't eat it. He just opens his mouth like a little birdie and expects me to feed him. He won't hold his own bottle either. Is this strange?
