The day of her birth, the pedriatic nurse said that my daughter wasn't breathing as well as she'd like, probably because there was inflamation in her nose from procedures after the birth (personally, I thought it was because the maternity room we were in was hot, dry, and stuffy.) The nurse said a dose of the glucocorticosteroid, prednisolone, in my daughter's nose should clear up the inflamation and return her breathing to normal...

Straterra or Concerta for ADHD??

My son is 8.5 and has been on Concerta for about 2 years now. He seems to be doing better in school but I have to say I am at my wits ends. Since Concerta takes an hour or so to work, mornings are a nightmare. He is just so hyper. Every morning I dread waking up and dealing with getting him ready for school and me ready for work. We have a large family and it's hard enough simply because of that, but add a very hyper child, and it's even worse. Then by the time he gets home from school, the meds seem to be wearing off and evenings are...

Had Success in Treating Ezcema Without Steroids?

My baby is 7 mo old now and he has had ezcema for two months now. It has gotten progressively worst. I was able to manage it with eliminating foods he is alergic to from my diet (still breastfeeding). He is alergic to milk, eggs, peanuts and almonds (as far as skin test can tell!). I am pulling my hair out as we speak - I've been on a strict diet for two weeks now without ALL theese and his condition is getting worst. He is oozing horribly at night and itchy - progressively in the past 4 days. Benadryl does not seem to help. Has anyone...
