Pregnancy Rules! What About You.... Do/did You Love Being Pregnant?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm 11 weeks today. This pregnancy has been AWESOME (so far... still have a while to go I know!). Much unlike my other two, I've had no nausea to speak of, none of that nasty post-nasal drip that I got with my other two, I've had a bit of fatigue but it only lasted for about a week. Probably my only complaint is that my boobs are pretty sore. But even that is manageable with good supportive bras. My hair looks great, my skin looks better than ever, and my nails are like... someone else's nails! I've always...

Thinking About Adoption

I am 24 years old, single, and ready to start a family of my own. Growing up, I always knew that I would want to adopt when I was ready. I have a great support system behind me for when the timing is right. When my sister had her fourth child in October, it stirred something inside of me that brought these ideas to the surface again. I had what I guess you could call Family Fever, I felt like it was time for me to be starting my own family. She told me not to be in a hurry, because I'm still young, but I have the desire to at least...

Names: Love It or Too Weird??

Our second daughter is due in just a couple months...We had the hardest time naming our first, but finally came up with Lilliana Bree, which I love so much! She mostly goes by Lilly, but sometimes we call her LillyBree, and even just LB. For the second we want another longer name that can be shortened - and right now the front runner is Abrielle. Is this too weird? I really like it, but am still having second thoughts, because it seems a little weird to me-Gabrielle, but without the G...Is she going to have to constantly tell people that??...

Baby Shower for 4Th Baby??

Hi everyone. My question is rather simple. I am expecting my 4th baby in 7 weeks. My mom threw me a baby shower for each of my babies...the first, cause he was my first; the second, because it was six years later; the third because she was a girl! Well, when we had our daughter I was blessed tremendously. She didn't wear the same dress to church for a whole year. Well, we had two boys and our princess, so my husband and I seriously thought we were done. I sold all of my baby girl's clothes at a consignment sale and the rest I donated....

St. Johns Hospital - Detroit

Hi! My sister-in-law is changing her OB. Her possible new OB works out of St. John Hospital in Detroit. I had my second child there and did not have a good experience with the nursing staff. I hardly saw them!! I sent my son to the nursery one night and they returned him 45 minutes later! I actually never saw the nursery, do they even have one?! I literally saw each nurse only once during their shift. I don't want to scare my sister-in-law, but want her to have a good experience. Has anyone else had their baby there? Wondering...

Is First Years or Evenflo Breast Pumps Any Good?

When my son and daughter were born premature, the WIC offices where I lived provided a motorized Medella pump supplied from a medical supply store. Obviously this was very good. I know that Medellas are sold in Target but I also seen other brands. Is there an "off" brand ie, Evenflo, First Years, etc. that is comparable but without the price??

Relationship and Pregnancies

Hello Mommas and some Daddies, I have an issue I have been struggling with. I am planning on taking the plunge into the dating world after a 7 years(roughly) hiatus. My issue isn't with dating its what could possibly come after. I'm not exactly opposed to being pregnant again but I'm not busting down doors to get there either. My issue is with the idea of getting pregnant. I have a son who I was single when I found out I was pregnant with and well lets just say it wasn't an enjoyable experience for me (on top of being alone and pregnant...

How Early Have You Experienced Pregnancy Symptoms

Okay, I'm totally wacked out on this one. I have two older daughters, and shouldn't be able to get pregnant (and there is only a small failure rate). However, for the last week (about 1.5 weeks from my expected period) I started to notice that my breasts hurt - not tender but out right hurt. As the week went on they got worse, I also noticed that I wanted chocolate and potato products- and no matter how much I ate I wanted more, plus I would eat them together (chocolate cake with potato chips). I also started suffering other pregnancy...
