Skin Problems After Having My Baby

I am a mom of a soon to be 4 year old and an 8 week old. I had no problems with my skin with my first born, but when I was pregnant with my second, my skin became extremely oily. I thought nothing of it and just washed my skin more. A few days after having my son, my skin did a 180 and is now acting strangely. I have dry patches all over my face that flake and hurt. They become red and inflamed and no matter what I do, they just won't go away. I have just been caking on the lotion in those areas in hopes that it is just dry skin and will go...

Help with My Zit Face!!

I am 22 yrs old and getting married in June. Here in the last 6 months or so I have been having these terrible breakouts! I sure don't want to have them on my wedding day!! I have tried using organic products like Eminence and I have tried AcneFree facial products. Nothing is working for me!! The Acnefree burned and dried out my skin, and I was only using it 3 times a week. I do not have oily skin and usually only dry in the winter. I need some serious help with it for sure!! The breakouts are mostly on my cheeks and temples.

Psoriasis or Eczema

I have these patches of dry skin on my ankles. It's either Psoriasis or Eczema, I have been to the different doctors and they say both. I have tried everything I can get my hands on to get rid of it but nothing works. Some things work temporarily, but nothing long term. Please any advice on what I can use to get rid of it or at least get it under control.

Should We See a Dermatologist for Infant Eczema?

Need some advice/recommendations. I have a 5 month old with mild eczema. Our pediatrition told us to put cortizone cream on the red spots and put sesame oil on him to hydrate (vs. lotions). I'm not sure if I am supposed to put the sesame oil all over him in leau of lotion. I hate the smell of it too. Curious if anyone ever had a doc tell them to do this? I am noticing the cortizone seems to help more than the oil. I've noticed it has gotten a bit worse on his back only. The other spots are about the same and there are not that many...

Hives! Hives! Hives! I Keep Breaking Out in Hives!

Have any of you every had problems with Hives? I keep breaking out with them on my neck. My husband thinks it's stress. I've made sure my lotions & soaps are free of dyes & smells, but I still keep getting them. Are there certain foods that make you get hives? Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do? I buy lots of cortizone & take Benadryl, but I'd like to stop it from happening, not treat the symptoms.

Duration of Jaundice

My son had very high levels of billiruben a few days after being born. He spent a couple of days under bili-lights in the hospital. He is doing better now. However he still has traces of jaundice in his mouth and on the white part of his eye. He is now 6 weeks old. I'm wondering how long before it completely goes away and/or is it normal to have traces of it this long.

Melenoma Skin Cancer

Hi Moms, I am 22 years old and was diagnosed with melenoma skin cancer. It runs on my Dads side of family. I have several moles on my back that have been there all my life, but there was one that came up about 7 months ago and I just got it removed last week. The doc is now concerned about the other 4 and I get those off on May 8th. I am totally scared and just worrying myself. Has anyone else had this, and how was the outcome with yours? How long was the spot there before removing it? My main concern is the spreading, I really hope...

Rosacea After Baby

Hi Moms- I am desperate for a solution. I was diagnosed with Rosacea, and given Metrogel to use. I haven't noticed an improvement, it's been a month. I am looking for any kind of remedy, or dietary advice. When I look on the web the information is overwhelming and conflicting. I have seen some literature on the connection between Rosacea and aspartame, so I am trying to quit drinking diet cokes (that is my only vice!). Has anyone else found success with eliminating asparatame or any other item from diet, to help manage Rosacea? Thanks!!

My Daughter Has a Wart :(

My 7yo daughter has had a bump on the underside of her wrist for a while now. At her well visit I asked the doctor about it and he said that it is a wart. He said we could leave it alone, try an over the counter remedy or have it frozen off in the dr's office (but that would be a bit painful). It doesn't seem to bother her and she doesn't know the stigma behind warts but I would like it gone. Occasionally she'll pick at it until it bleeds a little. I definitely don't want to put her thru anything painful. I also don't want to make a big...
