6 Month Old Milestones

My daughter will be 6 months old next week..She has only rolled over a few times in the past month and a half. She has rolled from back to belly and belly to back, but only a few times each. She also doesn't hold her head up very well. I sit her in her bebe pod (it's like a bumbo seat) to help her get better head control and she also sits in her exersaucer a lot, but with both of those things she still needs a lot of blankets around her. I know I shouldn't compare her to my older son, but I remember he was rolling both ways at 4 months and...

10.5 Month Still Waking and Need to Wean Paci and Bottle Soon,no? When and How?

Hello Mamas, My 10.5 month is not sleeping through the night. He has never been a good sleeper. He has slept through the night (meaning all night long) a few times, but he is very inconsistent...and it seems like for the last month, he has been waking 1-2 times at night...and sometimes getting him back to sleep has been difficult. It started with him teething and now he is just waking up for feedings and cuddling. So let me start by saying he only uses his pacifier at naptimes and at night, but I have noticied that he has grown more...

Exersaucer or Jumperoo?

We would like to buy an exersaucer or a jumperoo for our little guy. He'll be 4 months soon. He likes to "stand" and is pretty active, so I want something that will get him some exercise and be entertaining. He's also pretty tall (80% percentile), so I'm hoping some of you moms can give me an opinion on which ones are good for taller babies. I don't want him to grow out of it too quickly! Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Walker V. Exersaucer

Ladies, our five month old loves to "stand" and to "pedal his feet". He isn't happy in his swing, insists on being upright, and hasn't managed a crawl. I'd love a walker, but I remember hearing these were dangerous. A bit more about us. we live in a 2 bedroom apartment. with all hardwood floors. There are no stairs to contend with. DS is our one and only. We haven't any pets. I'm back to work full time. Hubby is in grad school. Hubby and my parent's split childcare while I am at work. 1. what are the safety concerns? 2. would...

Exersaucer Vs. Jumperoo

Hi, my daughter is 4 months old and her doctor said she's ready for the exersaucer. The only problem is I am torn between the jumperoo and an exersaucer. My daughter seems to get bored easily and I'm afraid jumping won't be enough to entertain her. However,I love the idea of her getting some exercise. We could get both, but they take up so much floor space. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!

Back to Bed Causes Need for Helmets for Infants

Has anyone had their child's doctor tell them that since we are all afraid of SIDS, that we have to put the child on their back when sleeping? Well it's causing a flat area on my 3 month's head. We put her in the exersaucer, jumper, and Bumbo to help her sit up more. The doctor says that if it doesn't round out by 4 months, they will suggest on a helmet that the child will need to wear for a while...I am not being vain or selfish, but I don't want my angel to be seen in a helmet that causes people to stare. We are also trying the Noggin...

What Next After Exersaucer?

Our almost 9mos old son seems to be getting bored w/his exersaucer. He can't walk yet so we like using it because it keeps him upright for a while after eating (he's still a big spitter). But we've noticed that he's not as interested in the toys on it anymore. I know you can buy new ones which we could do. But I'm wondering if anyone can suggest another similar product for his age or the next "thing" for him. If you can recommend any new exersaucer toys that your child likes that we should purchase, I'd be interested in hearing about...

Advice Needed PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I have a few concerns that I would love some advice on... My son Grant will be six months old on April 1st. He was on breastmilk for the first four months and then we slowly added in formula. Grant was extremely gassy with the breast milk and was colicky as a baby. His gas didn't get better or worse with the formula, but the doctor had my try Similac Sensitive to help with the gas he was having. He is still really gassy and will spit up and burp even hours after eating. It even wakes him up at times. Anyone experience this with their...
