I read Babywise before I gave birth to my son and was sure that I could easily implement it right away. But, with family in town, the fact that he was growing so quickly (therefore seemed to need to eat every 2 hours sometimes), and I was HIGHLY emotional and had the "baby blues" I had such a hard time. Weaning off the Swaddle

My 7.5-month-old son does reasonably well with his sleeping, but he's still dependent on being swaddled in order to fall asleep and stay asleep. In fact, he seems to be becoming more and more dependent on the swaddle: Now, even if he has just a hand out of the top of the swaddle, he tends to not be able to sleep until we reswaddle him. 1 Month Old Won't Sleep on His Back

Hi moms! I'm a first time mom of a beautiful baby boy. Everythin is going pretty well except for the fact that he does not want to sleep on his back. I'm well aware of the risk factors for SIDS including sleeping on his tummy, too hot, smoke in the home, etc. The only time my 1 month old will sleep on his back is in a swaddleme but that's no good for those hot nights.
