Problems with Infant in a Car

My grand daughter is 5 months old. She has never been a good rider in the car. I thought she might be car sick, or I thought maybe her car seat was not comfortable, but how can you tell with one so young? This is all new to me because I could put my kids in the car and they would sleep everywhere we went. There were times that I'd put them in the car and drive around if they couldn't sleep. But this baby cries and never sleeps in the car. Any suggestions?

Air Travel Tips W/ Infant

I need airplane travel advice…my husband will be on the plane 5 hours (not including checking in) with my 3 1/2 month baby whom I am nursing. We will be sitting in regular class and we did not purchase a ticket for our baby, since she flies for free. The airline knows that she will be on the flight. Should we ask for specific seating? Does the airline have to provide special accommodations? Where would we change her diaper -do they have a changing table in the restroom? We were thinking of just bringing our Ergo (backpack carrier)...

Flying with an 8 Month Old

I will be taking my daughter, (8 months when we fly), on a four hour flight by myself and she doesn't have her own seat. I don't ever really give her medicine unless she really needs it (i.e. fever, etc.) but I am wondering if there is anything I can give her to help with take-off and landing, I will feel awful for her and everyone else on the plane if she is screaming during the flight. Any suggestions? Also - is anyone familiar with policies about strollers and carseats? Are they counted as your carry-on baggage or not? Any travel...
