Family Vacation for Single Mom

I was wondering if anyone has ideas / suggestions for taking a family vacation with my two boys (ages 8 and 3). I am recently separated but I don't want this to deter me from giving my kids experiences including having a great vacation. The problem is that I've never traveled alone with the kids and I'm not sure what would be a good vacation that is not only safe but one that I can manage both kids on my own. Thanks in advance!

Car Seat for 4 Year Old

I'm in search for a 3 in 1 convertible car seat. I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old. I need to move my 1 year old out of the carrier and into a regular car seat. My plan was to give my 1 year old the Britax marathon that my 4 year old is in and by him a new seat since I will need a booster seat soon. I've been researching the Britax Frontier and the Graco Nautilus. They both have great reviews but I'm not sure which one to go with. I love my Marthon and I feel that the kids are very safe in them so I'm swaying towards the Frontier. ...

Advice for Air Travel with Infant

Hello all!! I have a question regarding air travel and sleep on vacation for other mom's out there. I am planning to take my 8 month old on two vacations in February. We will be in Mexico for one week, then back for a week, and then are going to Hawaii for a week for a family event. Sounds crazy, I know. I guess I have two questions: 1) Does anyone have any advice regarding taking a baby (for the first time) onto a plane? Have people taken their carseats onto the plane for a child this age? Or do you just put the baby on your...

Food Idea for Air Travel

My 3 year old daughter has a severe peanut allergy and we are off for an international trip soon, and the flying time, hmmm, over 15 hours. My carry on will not be short of snacks, but does that mean my little girl will go for a day without any hot food? My heart aches just thinking about it. So we need your idea of safe air-travel friendly and "real" food. She likes sandwiches with deli meat/cheese and any type of pasta, but I worry how long I can keep the food without them getting bad, just too risky for such a long flight. Tonight...

How do you deal with potty training while traveling over the holidays? Should we attempt to take a potty, have grandmas buy potties, or is there something easier and portable I should know about...... Thanks!
