So Labor Day weekend I had not got my prescription in time to start my B.C. Pills in time....and being the holiday I wasn't able to get them.....knowing if I started taking them on Tuesday I would have missed 2 pills, I decided I would just start the next pack after my next cycle.....well here it is December 12 and still no period. My husband and I have only been initmate once in the last 3 months so I am doubting that I am pregnant, plus I have take 2 tests...one over a month ago and the other yesterday. I am just curious if anyone else has had this happen after coming off the pills. I have come off them before, but usually had started by now....the only thing that would be different is now I have had a baby...whereas before I had never been pregnant.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for everyone's responses. I think I kind of got scared into finally calling my doctor. They ordered a blood test and it came back negative. Thank GOD!!! I am so not ready for another one. My daughter is ebough for me to handle right now and our living situation would become really cramped if we were to have another one. The doctor told me to just start taking my birth control pills this sunday....with or without my period starting.....I kind of wonder about that, but I guess I will do it. Thanks again!!

I would call your OB/GYN and ask to speak to a nurse...they will tell you honestly if it is something to be concerned about or not. Remember though, your hormones will never again be the same after having a baby...so it is possible for things to be thrown off. There are so many factors that can influence your cycle (Stress, diet changes, etc...) Good luck!

YES, i was in the same boat. i went july to oct of '99 w/ no period, neg. home test and blood tests. took pills to bring on a period..nothing!! it wasn't until the period didn't come after that, i had a v**. ultrasound and found i was 1 month prego. i'd suggest getting all possible tests done b4 starting the pill b/c it could hurt the baby. good luck.

It can take months for your cycles to go back to normal after coming off the pill. I'd suggest talking to your doctor to have a blood test for pregnancy just to be absolutely sure, and perhaps choose another form of BC until your cycles come back.

Same thing here - two kids both times took 6 months to come back. Could be lack of sleep or stress, hormones not regulated etc... Don't worry
