So I am not sure what is going on with me. My last period started around March 8th or 9th and I have not had another since. I should of been due for my period around April 5th. I took a home test on the 10th, 13th and 18th (all came up negative) W/ my past 2 pregnancies I found out at 6wks pregnant. Since the time my period was due I have felt like I have been on my period. I have felt bloated and crampy ... kind of like I am going to start my period any second... but have felt that way for a couple weeks now. So much so.. I have been paranoid enough to wear a pantiliner everyday... I literally feel like I have been on my period now for a couple weeks (except no bleeding) I called the doctor office and the nurse said 3 negative test probably mean I am not pregnant. And she could either give me something to make my period come or wait till next month and if nothing then call back. I told her no on making the period come b/c 1. who wants to be on their period.. and 2. I don't want to take somethig w/out knowing absolutely sure I am not pregnant. I am a normal 28 day cycle, no weight or stress changes... Any ideas? SHould I be worried about it? Am I pregnant? I would be happy if I was pregnant but I don't want to get excited too soon

What can I do next?

Just last week one of my friends had a few negative pregnancy tests. she went to the doctor for a blood test and it was positive! I would see if you could go and have a blood test done.

Your doc should order a blood test before they prescribe something to make you start your period. I can't imagine that they wouldn't. I would guess that you are probably just late, but I'm no doctor. Sometimes our bodies respond to things differently than we think they should. Just about anything can affect your period, including being sick. You could always take another at home test and see what it says. Then call the doc and ask to have your blood tested.

Definitely go in for a blood test to rule out pregnancy. I would take the advice of making sure that it isn't ectopic too.

Hi S.. I was due for my period on Jan. 8th and took 3 home pregnancy tests (on the 13th, 15th, and 17th)...all came back negative. I felt like something was amiss and my Dr told me the same thing (that with 3 negative tests I probably wasn't pregnant). I was going on vacation where I was planning to SCUBA dive, so I called my Dr again and he recommended a blood test just to be sure. I was 6 1/2 weeks pregnat at that point. I would talk to your Doctor again and request the blood test to make sure. I have a good friend that just had a baby after 3 negative blood tests...her Dr told her to wait and she was almost 12 weeks when she found out she was pregnant. BTW - We both took First Response HPT's that came in a 3 pack from Target...they weren't expired. We found it strange that we had that in common. Good luck!

Hi S.,

I have always been that way myself stressing can cause that problem and even sometimes just knowing that will help. You dont even have to be stressing about your period. It could be other stressers when I first started mt at home business I would even miss a period because I would be stressing out over my bills worrying and afraid I was adding to that. When you stop stressing watch lol you will start. But to be on the safe side I would make sure with some of the tests the other ladies mentioned in their posts.

Dear S.,

Absolutely follow the advise in the previous posts and ask to make an appointment with your doctor ASAP. You are uncomfortable and you should be seen. If you are pregnant, you need to know, and if you aren't, then something is definitely out of whack. No one here can answer your question for you. Only your doctor can do that. You're far beyond missing one period, and you don't want to let this go too long without treatment.

Good luck!

Almost certainly an anovulation cycle. Get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility", you'll learn all about menstrual cycles and how you can know within days whether you even ovulated, let alone could be pregnant.

Don't worry about it, I would wait to see what next month brings. And I would'nt take anything to make your period come either. During one of my pregnancies it took 4 pregnacy test one done by myself the remaing 3 done by my doctor before I found out I was pregnant and I was almost 4 months by that time. I even had my period for 4 months. I had a healthy pregnancy and delivery and baby.

Do not take something to make your period come. You are right to wait and be sure you are not preg. If you are not preg., you need to see someone about why it hasn't come, not just make it happen. You are too young to be experiencing perimenapause. If all your DR will do is make your period happen, you need to find a Dr. (gynecologist) who will check into why. I was always very regular - usually 29 days. I know what it is like though being late and wondering what is happening. (That has happened more often the past year - but I'm 50 - that's to be expected for me.) Who knows, by the time you read this your dilema may have already solved itself. Sometimes stress can cause a delay also some meds may cause a delay. Give it some time, but if you still get a neg preg test seek out a good gynecologist that will give you real answers. My prayers are with you today!

With both of my pregnacies they showed negative with a urine test. To be safe I would recommend getting a blood test. What can it hurt? Good luck!

I would request a blood pg test from your doc. This has happened to me before and it sucks. I have taken meds to start it just to get it over with and back to normal. However, I did do a blood pg test to make sure.

best of luck

Ok so on your "a little about me" part it says you have a 2 month old. If that is still accurate then your body is going through some of the changes that happen after you have a little one. If you are breastfeeding that could also have a change in your cycles.
If your period does not come this week and you are not b/f then call your dr office to talk to then about what is going on.
