Hi I am a mother of 2 boys and we are planning a big move, but I have a question. I am on birth control and nervous I could be prego. Last week I was nauseous and had a lot of gas! Yesterday my breast had that tingly sensation, like tighening and stuff. It almost reminded me of when I was breast feeding with my youngest son. Its been 2 years since I last breastfeed, so not sure if I am 100% positive. I am not supposed to start until April 9th. Could these symptoms be pregnancy symtpoms? I took a test last week and negative, but that was 3 weeks before period. How early can I test? I just found out my sister is pregnant and I am having baby fever. I always make myself think I am but these are true symptoms I am having.

Please help or am I crazy??

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I want to thank everyone with all there advice and kind words. Unfortunatly I am not pregnant. I am upset, but understand that right now would not be great timing to have a 3rd child. I am still not sure why I felt these certain things or maybe I imagined it because I wanted to be pregnant so bad. Thanks again for all your support.

When I was pregnant all of the home pregnancy tests kept coming back negative. I had to get blood work done to see why I was so "sick" and couldn't keep anything down. Turned out I was pregnant but my hormone levels were too low for the home ones to detect. Good luck to you!

Yes, it is possible. I became pregnant while on the pill (then again I had no "symptoms" until 5 months, so I'm far from typical). From what I've know is there's a test that advertises as being accurate up to 5 days before your period. You can look for that one.

Good luck and I wish you the best.

People get prego while on the pill all the time. 3 weeks before is too early to test. You can test 5 days before with an early detection test, but sometimes even those can't pick it up that early. I would definately use first morning urine and get an early detection test and test 5 days before. If that says negative repeat it on the day you are due to start. You can always get a blood test from the doctor as a definate way to tell. Other than that you just have to be patient and wait until closer to your period date.

Good luck.

Yes you could. I had pregnancy symptoms like brief spells of nausea and I felt a mild "let-down". I actually had an IUD in so no periods to go by. I took a test and it was positive. When I went to the doctor, the test there was negative. However, the OB said that many times the home pregnancy tests are more sensitive than the ones even used at the OB offices. I've even heard of women getting negatives after they were to start their period. Like the previous post, I'd keep testing as you get closer to your expected date of period. Good luck!!

It is possible, but I would try to find out A.S.A.P. because if you continue to take the pill and you are prego, it can cause birth defects or even misscarriage. I would def take another home test next week and if you arent satisfied with the answers, call your dr. Good luck!!

Read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and learn just how much stress (like when you move) can affect your cycle, even if you are on BC pills.

I had a friend who told me the best time to get pregnant was with a move....apparently moving is nerve racking and can cause diarhea, which I guess can lower the effectiveness of the bc pill. I would definitely get more tests.
