OK, I have had these hemroids since my gall bladder surgery a few months ago. They are not painful at all and don't bleed at all. I really am not concerned about them except for the embarrasement of my husband seeing them.
What can I do to get rid of them? Since there is no pain or bleeding are they really a big deal? I just don't want to be so embarrased by them.
Don't bear down very hard when having a bm, Don't sit on the toilet for long periods.. these will make it worse. anusol or hemmroid creams can help. If they are very bad you can have what is known as a hemmroidectomy usually with excellent results.
Ask your doc. They have suppositories that will take down the inflammation and shrink them up so they arent visible. My husband just went through that.
I saw others suggest a hemorrhoidectomy----my sister had hers 3 months ago (she's only 21!) and she's still recovering. Because there are so many nerve endings down there, and you use your gluteal muscles for __everything__ it takes a very long time to recover. She literally faints when she has to have a b.m. despite taking plenty of stool softeners, metamucil, extra fiber, etc. Just this last week, I kid you not, she was sweating blood from the pain. I am not even lying. She has another dr. appt. coming up and I'm sure others didn't have such a rough time, but from our experience unless you absolutely necessarily have to, do NOT do the surgery. She only did it because they were so bad and painful this was her only option.
yes its true - you can push them back up. you need to especially after you have a bowel movement because over time, the rectum can reabsorb them and make them smaller. try not to strain when you go to the bathroom. you want to keep your poop soft.....lots of water in your diet. you can always have them removed.
I know it is akward but you can gently push them back in. I would suggest in the shower with a warm, not hot, wash cloth. it may take a few times but should do the trick.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I got them after my first (2 year old) and I've had them sense, they were internal and they bled and hurt but I put up with it because I knew I'd be having another kid.. Now that I'm about to deliver #2 they have decided to become external and SO freaking gross, and they hurt SO bad. I'm having them removed 6 weeks postpartum but I'm SO self conscious, I tried turning the lights out during sex but he wasn't having it so I just try to not think about it.. You do need to get them removed though especially if it's been a few months and they haven't either gone down or become internal.. I feel for you though, I just keep thinking how un-sexy that has to be to see (because I can't really see anything down there LOL).
If you go to the doctor, a rectal exam can push them back in. And there is medicine that can be prescribed that shinks them down. Try that.
Sorry - it's the bain of having children and all kinds of other problems that make us have this embarrassing affliction!

The best thing you can do for hemorrhoids is to keep your bowel movements soft.
If they are hanging out - then you need to see a proctologist and have them removed...hemorrhoids are varicose veins of the rectum/anus. be careful with them!
