Frustrated with Leaky Diapers

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a brand of diapers that will not leak at night. My 5 month old is now sleeping for about 12 hours at night. I make sure that I change her diaper before I put her to bed at night but for the last week or so she is waking up with a fully saturated diaper and soaked pajamas and sheets. I hate to find her this way in the morning! Any ideas on how to prevent this? I would really appreciate any suggestions.

What can I do next?

We use Luvs with extra absorbant core. They are wonderful and sometimes cheaper than Huggies and Pampers. You may want to try going up a size also. My son is 9 months old and he is already in size 4 and it works out great. The diaper is at the very fullest it can be in the morning but the clothes are all dry. Good Luck

I use the Target brand diapers. They are cheap and are the best. They have never leaked on us.
Good luck.

E. is right. We never had a problem with leaks with the Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers. I refused to buy anything else.

I went through that same exact thing right at 5 months or 6 months. We use pampers cruisers during the day, and I had loved them, then they started failing me at night. So I went up a size in diaper, and that helped for a time, but ultimately they started leaking overnight again. To solve this, I now use Huggies Overnights. Huggies Overnights is a specific type. . . I'm not just using a huggies over the night time. They're in a purple package, I think. They're wonderful. I still use the pampers cruisers during the day, then. Problem solved!

E.,

My son who is 11 mos old is in bed for 12 hours overnight and rarely has a leak (sometimes NOTHING can hold all of that, though! LOL!).

The Pampers Cruisers have worked really well for us. Any time we've tried Huggies they've seemed to leak. We also put a onesie on underneath his PJ's which seems to make sure the diaper stays in place all night (and it keeps him warm of course).

We used the Pampers Swaddlers when he was too young for the Cruisers...

I hope that helps!

I think all you can really do is give her less milk right before bedtime. During 12 hours, she's going to pass it all, and no diaper can hold it. I use Pampers baby dry diapers at night, but still can't give my dtr much milk right before bed. Some people put on 2 diapers, but you might just have to try less milk and/or change her diaper halfway through (12 hours is amazing, but a really long time for 1 diaper). Hope that helps, and good luck!

The only brand of diapers that used to work for me at night was Huggies. You could also try putting 2 diapers on her, or buy a size smaller for her to wear at night. The leaking seems to happen when a diaper is too big and gaps at the sides.
