Hello folks. We are looking for a new pediatrician. Our current situation is a group of pediatricians. The original doctor we talked to when we were expecting is no longer with the office, and new doctors seem to rotate in on a frequent basis. I've been unable to find where the original doctor relocated to.
I'd love to find a small practice - one or two doctors, who take the time to get to know you, or at least know your child. Location preference is in the Deerfield, Highladn Park, Northbrook, Glencoe area. Interested either in a pediatrician, or in a family practice for the entire family.
A. - my 2 sons go to Dr Deborah Ehrlich - she is an Advocate Medical Doctor - she has offices in Deerfield and Libertyville - the Deerfield office is ###-###-#### - she is fabulous with my sons.

There are four doctors in the practice--two men and two women. I know this is a bigger group then you were asking about--but it is an office that I think functions like a smaller practice--our doctor knows our family well. They have always gotten us in same day whenever we need to be seen and the doctors return all phone calls--also same day. I find them to be very easy to reach. We really are very happy there!
I love our doctor. He also is at Pediatric Partners in Highland Park (and Vernon Hills): Dr. Eisenstein
He has just the perfect demeanor. Is so respectful of our concerns. Was so supportive of breastfeeding, even when it was difficult. He is warm and caring. I also love the nurses in the office. Someone already recommended a doctor from this practice so you've got the info. Good luck.

We really like Glenbrook Pediatrics in Glenview. it's basically in Northbrook, it's in the Glen.
I've also heard good things about Town & Country Pediatrics. We chose Glenbrook because they took our insurance.

She's the mother of one of my students and I called her last week to talk to her about something school-related with her kid and was surprised to find I actually got her on the phone (usually you know they put you through to a secretary or nurse or something)! Knowing I'm pregnant, she also shared some prenatal advice with me even though that wasn't what I'd originally called about! I was SO happy! I don't know any doctor who'd do that-- they're all so busy and don't seem to have time for you! I wish I lived on the north shore cuz I'd go to her in a heartbeat!

I just came across your post, kind of late. But I have the GREATEST pediatrician I can recommend to you, she is located in Winnetka, right on the border of Glencoe and Winnetka. She is a solo practice.

I am a labor nurse and a mom. I have tried many pediatricians in the area, 2 different larger practices in Glenview, a
practice in lake forest, and solo practitioner in Glencoe, and another solo practitioner in Winnetka.
Roma Franzia is an unbelievable thoughtful, compassionate, and very smart doctor. She educates my kids during every exam, tells them what she is checking, what the organ does in their body, and she spends so much time with each child. The beauty of her practice, is that the intimate nature of the office manager, her nurse, and Dr. Franzia.
The office is so comfortable and fun for the kids and parents...and they accomodate your schedule when you need to get in. I have never had a problem getting a same day appt. She will always see your child on the same day for a sick appt.

I recommend Dr Campbell and Dr Tapas - http://tapasmd.googlepages.com/practicewebsite. There are only two doctors in practice, as well as nurse practitioner. They have walk-in sick hours every morning. They are in Glenview - Glen area.
Even though it's not in the area you specified, I love our doctors, especially Dr. Santiago.
Dr. Fang in Vernon Hills, he might have an office close to you, The whole family can see him. He is kind, warm, funny and easy to talk to. He is very smart and cares about his patients. He is out of ENH. Goodluck!
