Pool Fence Companies in Allen/Plano Area

We have an in ground pool, and would like suggestions for a pool fence. I've seen a lot on the web about removable fences, but I'm overwhelmed with all the different options. We cannot decide if we want to put in a permanent or removable one. We are hoping someone in the Allen/Plano area has had success with a particular company that we can use. We understand a fence will not prevent pool accidents and that a fence is only part of what we can do to keep our children safe. Now we just have to decide what kind to use.

What can I do next?

We used Katchakid and got a safety fence. I highly recommend them. We actually expected the fence to be much uglier than it was. It is fairly shear. We are so used to it now, it doesn't bother us a bit. Good luck.

We got a BabyGuard fence with the self locking gate (I highly recommend the gate, despite the added expense). It has been great for us, is removable, and was a bit more affordable than the other ones I looked at. We went with a tan color, which is more attractive than black. We were completely happy with their service, the quality of the installation, turn around time, and the product itself. Hope this helps.

I highly recommend the Safety Net that hooks onto the edge. I am from California, but I am sure they have then out here. Three minutes to put on and three minutes to take off but it is by far very safe and I was worry free with 5 grandkids!

Hi N.,
I highly recommend Texas Fence World. They service Allen and Plano and are very reasonably priced.
The owner, Chris would be very helpful with your decision on what you're looking to get. I would definitely get something put up asap with having a 15 mnth old. Safety is so important with pools and that age of a child.

My husband just put up one of the removable fences around our pool this weekend. I do feel much better with it up - but it is UGLY! I know safety is the key here - but if your house is open to the pool area you might think about some of the metal fencing that looks a little nicer! We went with the removable fence becasue we also have 2 dogs - and we didn't want to block the dogs from the grass. We got the fencing on ebay - we found it there the cheapest - and my husband rented a drill from Home Depot.

We have a removable pool fence. We have had this for 2.5 years and are really happy with it. We prefer the removable fence because it is nice to have the extra room around the pool when we have friends over on the weekends. The kids have more room to play, jump in, etc. There is probably a significant price difference as well. We used a smaller company that I am not sure I would recommend because there were a few problems that they were not too keen on resolving for us.
Safety is key and we were told that the pool nets are not recommended due to kids could get tangled in them. The pictures show kids walking on them and not falling in, but if for some reason it did malfunction and a child was in the middle of it, they come become tangled under the water. We were also told this by some of the fencing companies so take it with a grain of salt. Just wanted to mention it.
It is better to go with a darker color of mesh for the removable fence, you can see through it very easily and it blends in with the background nicely.

We used Protect A Child and really like how safe it is and the service we got. It was a little more expensive, but it was worth it for the peace of mind. Good luck!
