Reasonably Priced Hairstylist in Joliet

I am looking for a hairstylist in Joliet that doesn't charge $50 for a haircut (aside from all the $12 places)! I have been having trouble with my hair since my daughter was born. I used to have hair down my back that was naturally curly and I could just jump out of the shower, scrunch it with some mousse and go. Well, I seem to have lost almost all of my curl and I need a different hairstyle and one that doesn't require a lot of work. I am willing to pay $20/$25 for a haircut, but not $50 like the last one I got! So if anyone knows a great hairstylist that could work with me on figuring out my hair and not charge an arm and a leg, I would appreciate a recommendation. Thanks a ton!

in Shorewood by the Target (other side of the street) there is a school where they learn how to cut hair, I think it's something something Salon Academy. They are really good but inexpensive.

I'm also a fan of Jackie at Bangs in Shorwood. It located just off of 59 near Black Rd, behind the National City Bank.

I go to and LOVE Lori at Split Endz. She is in New Lenox off of Laraway and Nelson. She is reasonably priced and does a great job.

Give Lori a try.

V.I.P. Salon on Caton Farm Rd. charges $35, and so does Bangs is Shorewood.

I go to Jen at V.I.P., and she is great! She's really young, and knows all the newest styles. I also had my hair cut by Carol there once, and loved it, too.

I also recently went to Jackie at Bangs, and she did a great job, as well. She really takes the time to figure out what would work best for you. The atmosphere in this salon is very laid-back. The woman are a funny bunch.

I go to the Salon Professional Academy in Shorewood (right by Target on Rt. 59). Haircuts are $9 and done by students, but supervised by the instructors. I have been going there since they opened and have only had good experiences. I referred a friend there too and she loves it. The one thing that you need to be prepared for is the time it takes. It usually takes up to 1 hour for a cut (since the supervision takes extra time and the students are new at this).
