Hello Plainfield moms. I am new to the area and am looking for not just a good/cheap hair salon for my kids, but one for myself as well. It needs to be a great salon for myself. I have gone to the same place for many, many years and am very happy with their services, however, now that I have moved I am wondering is there is a salon closer to me that cuts/colors just as well.

Frank Gironda Salon and Spa at 59 and 95th is really good. Jonelle was my stylist for a long time until I moved to Sugar Grove. My sister still goes to her and she always does a great job.
I like VIP Salon, which is on Caton Farm Rd. I am not sure how much you want to spend, exactly, but check it out. It's a great salon.

I like the Salon Academy (pretty sure that is the name) that is on Rt. 59 in Shorewood just south of Target (behind the Chili's kinda). They are inexpensive, friendly and do a good job even though they are just learning (a training person consults and supervises until they have learned a cut/procedure and tested on it)
Salon Nine!!! It is great and you will be so pampered. It is on RTE 126 across from the Library in the two story building! If you go ask for Cherese...she is the best!
