Does anyone know of a reliable refrigerator repairman on or near the North Shore/North Suburbs? Our refrigerator is no long refrigerating. Also, where is a good place to buy refrigerators if the repair doesn't work?

Call Magic Appliance (Gene). He's in Buffalo Grove. He's wonderful and reasonable. You can buy a new fridge at ABT - that's the only place I'd go to buy a new appliance.
Check out Sears both in repairs and also they sell appliances that are scratched or bumped at a warehouse store in Northlake. It might be a slight drive for you, but well worth it. Sometimes a refrigerator is easier replaced than repaired as far as expenses go. I got a refrigerator there about two years ago, a beautiful one and the price was dropped simply because it had a dent on the side. It is stainless steel and still looks beautiful, (not too many people are looking at the side).

I know a lot of people swear by ABT in Glenview for all their appliances/electronics....maybe a little bit more on the spendy side and a big box store (Lowes, Home Depot) or Sears might be better!?!?
I have used Northern Refrigeration & Appliance Repair - Tony was the technician that came to our place to fix a washer and dryer.They were awesome - very professional, on time and great follow up. I would call them again for any other repairs I need. If replacement is needed go to Abt...best selection and prices.
