I also recommend MOMS Club. They have activities with the kids during the day, and Mom's Night Out once a month, plus it's just a good support and network.

Welcome to the sunniest place I know! :)

I have found yahoo meetups the best place there is to find like minded people. There are topics for EVERYTHING! It is a safe way to connect with people and I have made some great friends through it, and expanded my knowledge, too! For example, the vegetarian meetup group meets at least once a week at vegetarian friendly restaurants. As a single woman alone in the city, it gives me the opportunity to sit down to dinner with people! I have also learned that vegetarian means a whole lot more than what it had to me! And I discover some nice places to eat. (Not everyone who attends is necessarily 'vegetarian', but enjoys a vegetarian meal that night) I also played Scrabble through one of those meetups. It is a great service and free, except to those who host the meetups.

Hey J., welcome to Arizona! You're going to love it here. I'm also a mother of 3- one little girl & 2 wonderful boys! Small world. You didn't mention your faith, but I'd like to invite you to a mom's prayer group that meets 1 x a month and has activities for moms & free babysitting as well. It's called Mothers of Destiny & it meets in Living Word Bible Church in Mesa NWC of Brown/Val Vista. Next Sunday we will meet at 4:30 PM - 6 PM with daycare for all age kids, dinner for you & your kids all for free. There's mom's & grandma's, aunt's & caregivers all there to help eachother & get a teaching with practical life skills with Christian/ Biblical principles. Hope to see you there. D. mother of 3, wife of 12 yrs.

I found my MOMS club by simply going to www.momsclub.com and then entering my area. They gave me a contact person's email address. I emailed her and found out all their information from there. Good luck!

The moms' group I belong to has really been a lifesaver for me! And I've lived here for 15 years! Check it out at: http://hipmama.meetup.com/158/ We'd love for you to join. We have moms of all types...SAHM, WAHM, moms that work full time/part time outside the home. We're a great mix. Also, you can browse "moms groups" through the meetup site, there are lots out there to choose from.
