My son has been waking up in the middle of the night with wet pjs. It doesn't seem to help when I change his diaper right before bed. If he doesn't wake up in the middle of the night (around 1:30 am) when he gets up in the morrning his pjs are wet. He pees through his diaper at nap times also. I even switched from Luvs to Pampers to try and help.He does have a bottle before bed but he only has 3 bottles a day and a small sippy of water at meals so it is not like he is getting a huge amount of liquids. My question or I should say questions are: Has anyone had this problem? Do the Huggies overnight diapers work?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for you advice. I bought the next size up (6) today to see if that helps. Now I'm just worried he will grow out of them before we are ready for pull-ups.

S., I've had this problem a lot with my son and it was a major problem when we gave him a bottle at bedtime. I started giving him his bottle about 30 minutes or so before bedtime, because he would probably wet just a little before that, and then I pull his diaper way up in front. I make sure there's still coverage in back, but in front the sticky tabs are at the very bottom of the picture section. Also, if he's borderline on diaper size you might go ahead and go up. They'll be a little big, but he'll have more wetting area. Other than that, you'll probably just have to deal with it for a couple of months until you break that bedtime bottle.

Good luck!

i know they used to sell at kmart or target these diaper liners. since my kids are out of diapers for about 2 yrs, i don't know if they still have them. but one thing i have used before that works ok is POISE pads tucked into the diaper like a "pantiliner". remove the adhesive backing and just stick it into a clean diaper. maybe he just needs an extra little absorbent thing happining in his dy-dee.

good luck!!

sounds like you need to go up a size- when we start getting 'overflows' that usually solves it(and my older son drinks about 50 oz of liquids a day!) We use Sams Club brand during the day and one size up Huggies Supreme for nighttime with both boys!
