Infant Seborrheic Eczema

I have a 7 1/2 wk old baby girl who I just took to the doctors today because she's had a rash for about a week now. I didn't think it looked like baby acne and its not just on her face its also on the back of her neck and scalp. Doctor said it's seborrheic eczema, it may get worse before it gets better and also it may be something that she will always have. She will most likely develop allergies as she gets older. My poor beautifl little girl. I feel so bad for her. He gave her a prescription for a steroid cream. Is there any one else...

Can Prolonged Use of Hydrocortisone Cream Affect Growth of Child?

Hello moms. My 18 month old boy has chronic eczema since he was 6 months old and have been using a hydrocortisone cream prescribed by our pediatrician. We have been applying this cream, a 2.5% formulation cream since he was an infant with varying degrees of eczema relief. He has needed it on a daily basis and we have been applying it twice a day to his ankles, wrists and behind the knee--the areas that are affected. We also use Aquaphor and pretoleum jelly emollients to relieve his dry skin. We have not asked our pediatrician though...

What Products to Use for an Infant Who Has a Rash

Hi I was wondering what products many of you recommend for an infant (2 month old) who has a very bad sandpaper like rash all over her body. Her back is actually peeling today since her skin has been so dry. I did take her to her Pediatrician who ruled out any illness. He stated it may be sensitive skin or she may be having a reaction to a food that I am eating as she also has very bad reflux along with it. I use dreft detergent on all clothes/linens that come into contact with her. I use Eucerin on her skin which does seem to help a...
