Kumon Learning Centers

Hi all, I am thinking of enrolling my daughter in the Kumon Learning Center (much like Sylvan). She is having a difficult time in reading and math this year. I thought it might be able to give her that boost of confidence in herself and her learning. She is 6.5 yrs old. Was wondering if any of you have had experience with the centers or ones like them? Thanks!!

New to Autism

My daughter has recently been diagnosed by her pedia with a mild form of Autism. This does explain all of the developmental delays I have been experiencing with her. I've even asked for advice through mamasource about potty training and talking. Anyway, we have an appt with Child Find through LISD (in Sept)and an appt with a nuerologist (in Oct) to determine the level of her disability. Crib Recalls & Recommendations

Just found out our Ellis Simplicity crib has been recalled. The manufact. is out of business. We have to take the thing back to Target and receive a refund, credit or replacement. Our son is too young to move to a toddler bed. Any crib recommendations? We need to get a new one pronto. Thanks.

Teaching How to Write...

My daughter will be 3 in two weeks and maybe I am getting ahead of myself, but I'm not sure. I was wondering how/when to start teaching her how to write. Both of my kids have learned letter/number recognition so wouldn't writing be next? I am currently just trying to get her to trace over what I've drawn. We don't really want to send her to daycare because of the absurd expense, yet we don't want her to be behind once she goes to preschool. Their father and I have opposite shifts so one of us is always home and interacting with them....
