Children with Atopic Dermatitis/eczema: Looking for a Specialist, Tips, Etc.

Our children (ages 2 and 4) have always had sensitive skin. It seems though as if the problem grows with them. They have been treated off and on with prescription creams, ointments, etc. that also work on and off; however their skin rashes seem to continue spite our efforts (daily bath, daily cream/lotion, etc.) We only use Aveeno products and we've been following peds' advise regarding soap types to use, etc. So far, we are not aware of them having any allergies. Because we seem to get nowhere, we are hoping for a referral to either, a...

What Products to Use for an Infant Who Has a Rash

Hi I was wondering what products many of you recommend for an infant (2 month old) who has a very bad sandpaper like rash all over her body. Her back is actually peeling today since her skin has been so dry. I did take her to her Pediatrician who ruled out any illness. He stated it may be sensitive skin or she may be having a reaction to a food that I am eating as she also has very bad reflux along with it. I use dreft detergent on all clothes/linens that come into contact with her. I use Eucerin on her skin which does seem to help a...

Reaction to Green Beans

My 6 month old has broken out with a skin rash both times I fed her Gerber Organic green beans. Each time the rash was different, and went away quickly. The first time her back turned all red and blotchy, and I thought maybe it was from being hot and sweaty in her car seat. But the next time she ate them, she got little red dots on her face and neck. Then it dawned on me that beans are in the same family as nuts, and I'm worried that she'll have a nut allergy. She has not reacted to any other baby food (I'm only buying organic). Has...
