HELP PLEASE!!! My family and I are preparing to move to the Beaverton area from Louisville, KY. I have been searching the web for different apartments and I'm about to give up. We are looking for an apartment for now until we get to know the area better. I am so overwhelmed. It looks like there is so much available, but I have no clue how nice it really is or if it is in a good area. We were hoping to spend around $750-$850 for at least a 2 bedroom apartment (is that even reasonable?). If anyone has any input or suggestions, please, please let me know. We are also looking for a young driven christian church if you have any suggestions. Thanks to anyone who can help!!

It has to be org and not com. Com will take you to another site. I'm in Aloha/Beaverton. $750 to 850 is pretty good for a 2 bedroom, and in that price range would be in decent areas too.

Good luck and welcome to the northwest!

Yes T. Beaverton is an awesome place to live. I actually live in Aloha, but this town often shares the same zipcode as Beaverton, so I get mail that says Beaverton and some that says Aloha. Anyways I live in a four-plex and is 3 bedrooms two baths, and is almost 1200 square feet and I pay $855. A little higher than an apartment but well worth it since I don't have anyone living upstairs and I share just ONE wall with my neighbor. The price range you are looking for is definitely reasonable. You will absolutely love it here, and even though my kids aren't in school yet, I know that the Beaverton School District is the best, followed up with Hillsboro School District. There are other surrounding towns that are close by that you might want to check into as well. Hillsboro, Aloha, Cornelius, Beaverton are all close together. Craigslist is the place to look, you might even find a house in your price range too if you don't want an apartment. Good Luck with your search!! And welcome to the beautiful Pacific Northwest!!

Hi T.!! I too came to Oregon from Kentucky, although I lived a little farther south of Louisville (Somerset to be exact). The weather here is quite a bit different, but there are alot of similitaries. Last summer was my first summer up here and it was nice, like back home. I hope you adjust well and quicker than I did!! I am not familiar with Beaverton, but the surrounding areas are pretty nice. Good luck to you and your family!!

The price for apartment is about right for a two bedroom. There are some more and some less.

Hi T., I moved to Beaverton from Dallas, Texas last April. My husband job transferred so we had to search for apartments. The Beaverton area is a good place to move especially for kids, the school district is in the top 10. Ok you can try Country Gables Apts they have 2 and 3 bedrooms available, the rent starts around 700+/month. The telephone # is ###-###-####. The apts also have indoor pool, spa, playground, workout room, etc. If these apartments don't work try Clock Towers, even go to apartments searching online it can give you infomation on what kind of apt. you'll looking for then the amount you want to spend. As far as a church try West Gate Baptist Church the pastor and the family is wonderful. They made me feel welcome when I first came. Pastor and his wife and even the staff comes and visits you at home and it's even childcare available during bible study and services. Good luck.

breath!! lol. a good place to look is craigslist.com. it has listings for places. we are in a duplex that is 725, so you might be able to find something other than an apartment for that price. and yes thats a reasonable price range, and there are some terrific apartments in this area -i lived in beaverton and now live in hillsbor (right next to beaverton). it depends on what you're looking for-near shopping or not-for where to look. there are lot in the tanesbourne area, as well as the rock creek area that are really nice and near shopping places. i personally lived at the rock creek apartments and really liked them. it had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fireplace, and washer/dryer. plus the second bedroom was huge (to me anyway lol). good luck! and try craigslist, its pretty cool. you can even post for what you want and see if anyone writes you.
and i don't know about young driven, but we attend a church -corridor baptist church- that is a traditional church. no rock music and stuff. but everyone is great, and it has a nursery and sunday school and patch and vacation bible camp and stuff. we started there two years ago (we have two little ones) and i love it! the pastor and his wife are still in their 30's so its easier to relate to them, and there are a lot of teens and stuff. anyways, thought i'd throw that out there. down the street is a church that has a band and stuff if thats what you are looking for......i'm trying to remember the name.....oh that drives me crazy lol....well it's on baseline and i can totally picture it haha..brookwood! duh lol. brookwood baptist. its a bigger church than ours, but less traditional (ie the band lol)..good luck! again lol

this is an addition to my original message lol

yeah i meant craigslist.com. thats where i go to find stuff. i've never used craigslist.org, but it takes you to the same place. and i can't remember the exact name of the apartments i lived in! lol. i was thinking about it, and its not rock creek, its rock creek something. oh well. heres a list of beaverton listings http://www.move.com/searchresults.aspx?styp=rent&ltyp.... :)

Hi T.. I live in the Beaverton/Aloha area and yes this is reasonable price to find a 2 bedroom apartment. If you want to send me some of the apartments that you have found I can tell you some more about the area and quality of the apartment. I also attend Beaverton Christian Church and its a very fun church. Its non demoninational and very welcoming church. The services are all very up beat and all. Let me know when you will be in town and we can attend together if you would like. How about you email me at ____@____.com and we can chat some more.
