Good Morning Ladies;
Thank you for taking the time to read my posting. I guess like many other girls out there, I am now faced with the fact that my relationship of almost 2 years has ended and now have to move on providing a safe and healthy enviroment for my child.
However.....cost of living is OUTRAGEOUS!!!! And with only one income!!! OMG.....
I'm not looking for pitty, nor am I asking for money nor anything of that sort. I guess really what I'm looking for is for some one who might know of affordable 2 bedroom appts around the Hillsboro/Aloha area.
Due to my down town Hillsboro job, I can't afford the gas to live any further. I just recently moved out here too so not very familiar with the sorroundings and don't have many friends for that matter :O)
So if someone can give me some info or resources I will surely appreciate it!!!
God Bless and thank you in advance

What can I do next?

Good Morning Z. (very cool name btw)

There are many places around the Hillsboro area that are fairly cheap and affordable and decent looking inside and out. Your best bet is to check out craigslist.com or pick up an apartment finder at the local store. These are awesome resources and will also give you some information.

on a personal opinion, my husband and I stayed at the Quatama Apartments for almost 3 years. We were "kicked" out last year because they went to section 8 only and we made more than what was allowed. If you want to go that route, that is also an option as well, least that way the government is helping pay for some of the costs of living.

I hope you find what you are looking for soon :)

We have been out looking for apartments as well. We looked at the Evanbrook Apartments and Cornell Manor Apartment off of Barnes Road, both owned by the same company. Two bedrooms were going for a little over $700. Here's a link:

We spent a lot of time looking at apartment ratings at
http://www.apartmentratings.com

Carla properties had some pretty good ratings at all of their complexes. We didn't check out the one in Hillsboro though. There is a map of all their apartment locations.

Hope that helps!

Hey there... I don't know your price range or how much you make a year BUT here is a link:
http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/apa/680559473.html

It is for a 3 bedroom... I know more rooms then you wanted but maybe they have only two? It is a pretty good deal, free w/s/g and internet!!!! all for $781. They aren't all the way done being built and that is nice, because you'll know that it is super super super clean!

Good luck dear!!!

My husband and I are moving to Spokane, WA at the end of the month so I know our building will have a vacant unit, although I think there are a couple of other openings too. Country Pines Apartments 1040 NW 123rd Ave Portland, OR 97229-5674 ###-###-####. We have a 2 bedroom 1200 sq. ft. unit with 1.5 baths and washer/dryer hook-ups for $630 a month water/sewer/garbage included. It's in the Cedar Mills area, very close to the Aloha/Beaverton/Hillsboro area. They also have on-site laundry and a pool. The library is right around the corner as are several grocery stores and a Walgreens.
