Does the Halo Sleepsack Swaddle Blanket Work?

I have a 9 week old and I'm trying to find the best swaddling solution. We have gone back and forth swaddling her really tightly with a regular blanket (which she finds a way to get out of) and the Miracle Blanket. We've been using the Miracle blanket exclusively for the last week or so and it is working fine, but I'm interested to know if others have had success with the Halo Sleepsack swaddle blanket. It looks like it would be much easier to swaddle a little one in than the Miracle Blanket but I'm wondering if it really holds their...

Halo Snuza--Alert System When Baby Stops Breathing

Has anyone used the Halo Snuza. I saw a report on the show The Doctors yesterday about how it saved a baby's life when the baby stopped breathing, it alerted the parents. Then last night on Law & Order: SVU, the baby died of SIDS. I guess with it fresh in my mind, I'm wondering if it's worth it. I think it's worth the $100 a piece (I would need 2), but they also make mats that go under the babies, but I don't know if they are as effective? I've read some online reviews, but only saw about 2 or 3 reviews, so I was hoping to get more. ...

Infant Likes to Sleep on Tummy

Hey moms, I was wondering if I could get some feedback about letting a one month old sleep on his tummy. My first did well with being swaddled and sleeping on his back but this is my second and he really likes to sleep on his little tummy, he sleeps so much better! He typically breaks free of his swaddle and so I have been letting him sleep on his tummy some during the day when I am checking him constantly. Well, last night after a night of unrest, I finally let him go to the tummy at like 5am this morning, and he did do much better. ...

Getting Your Baby Back to Sleep at Night

Hi all- My baby girl is 9 days old. She wakes crying about every 2 hours at night to feed. She feeds for about 25 minutes- I change her diaper and reswaddle her- then she refuses to sleep back in her crib/bassinet. She will only sleep in my arms or my husband's arms at that time.If she does go back to sleep in her own bed it is only about 30 minutes until she is up again for her next feeding and then the cycle starts all over again! If we try to put a pacifier in her mouth she loses it within 30 seconds and cries more. He and I both...

Dad's Lack of Concern for SIDS

We have a beautiful baby boy, Ethan, that will be 2 months thus Saturday the 22nd. I have learned a lot about SIDS and the causes of it as well as chances of suffication. It seems as though my husbands concern for those things are not there at all. When I get up for work, we lay the baby down in bed so dad can feed him and they can fall asleep together. My husband seems to love to put the baby on tons of pillows and then put the comforter on him to "warm him". I also walked in to the living room one time to find both of them covered...

Sleep Advice for Premature Infant

My premature infant (18 weeks old, 8 weeks past due date) will only sleep in my husband and my arms or in the bed next to us. We try to put him down for naps, but he wakes up. The longest he will stay asleep is 30 minutes, although usually he wakes up right away. We have tried swaddling (he hates that) and the infant car seat. He goes for 3-4 hours at night, but again, only if he is in the bed next to us. Any ideas would be appreciated!

7.5 Month Old - Sleep Problems, Maybe Night Terrors?? Help!!!!

It has been 7.5 LONG but amazing months with our first baby!! She is super happy, but has not slept through a night in her life!! She goes to sleep fine. I can lay her down, but she wakes up AT LEAST 3-4 times on average each night. She will usually go right back to sleep, sometimes she will eat, but mostly I just pat her or pick her up, comfort her and put her back down and she's out again... What am I doing wrong??? I need sleep again, and I'm getting desperate! If I don't comfort her, she screams nonstop and will not put herself back to...
